Superheroes Weighing In
Whose Side is your Favorite Superhero on?
As expected, Batman is right.
Unfortunately, the civil libertarians of the XMen are not included in the article. And Spider-Man is listed as a Democrat, despite being co-created by Steve Ditko, an Ayn Rand enthusiast. Ah well. What do you think?

I found the article pretty entertaining, but in my opinion a lot of the heroes were either aligned with the wrong party or terribly misunderstood.
That being said, I voted for Batman because a) he kicks ass and b) he kicks ass. But seriously, he really does kick that much ass.
As for AB's comments about Spider-Man, in his early years he never came across as being particularly Rand-ian, regardless of Ditko's leanings. However, they are looking at the character based on how they are today, or how they have been historically, and I don't think that Ditko has had anything to do with Spider-Man for about 40 yrs.
As to Spider-Man's siding in Civil War, personally I don't care what side he sided with, nor do I care that he is changing sides. I don't even care that he got a stupid armor/costume, since you know that that won't last for too long. What does bug the hell out of me is that he unmasked himself, because that is a giant mistake that has caused me to drop the books from my reading list and also because it pretty tough to get undo.

I chose Batman because, well you know, Batman is always right.

When I first read this I thought you meant he was a republican, which surprised me due to his views on guns and the death penalty, haha

It's kind of like he was duped into joining more conservative superheroes by bad information... Sounds like some Democrats we know.I totally voted Wonder Woman, but Green Arrow is a close second.
I lost all confidence in Spiderman since he changed his costume and revealed his identity (aka. joined the wrong side in Civil War).
