Ender's "side stories"

Postby BobbyOodle » Wed Jul 10, 2013 3:57 pm

These 4 books (First Meetings, A War of Gifts, Ender in Exile, Shadows in Flight) just came in the mail today, and I'm freaking out in excitement, though I'm reading the Shadow Series right now, I'm part way through Shadow Puppets.

What do you think of the side stories I mentioned? Without spoiling it for me, please. I'll destroy you if you spoil it.
Also, what order should I read them in? (I read Ender's Quartet first, then the Shadow series minus Shadows in Flight directly after so: EG, SFTD, X, CotM, ES, SotH, SP, and soon to be SotG).
Salaam, my friend.

I'd say go the route I went...finish the Shadow series (loved it) and get Shadows in Flight, then go after the earlier ones.

As for things that are good, as long as you don't have the abridged audio book for Flight. Did that and regretted it

My philosophy is always read a series in publication order, not chronological order.

Prequels ALWAYS introduce continuity errors and spoil surprises.
