I got to log 3 hrs. in a Dc3 yesterday! Right seat too! It was a thankyou for taking a group sightseeing recently. I can only barely fit in the cockpit in the dc3, I was'nt sure I could fit in this time but I pulled it off without muscle relaxers. Anyhow hooray for I gota pat on the head for "slipping her in" in a crosswind and getting it just right, gives me hope. soon I want to talk on a couple possible "round engine" big projects, maybe after my knee replacements which are coming up soon like a week maybe

I bought two pairs of normal-fitting jean shorts. Not capris, not baggy shorts that kind of look like a skirt-like thing. Real shorts.

(Body/hair issues have caused me to avoid them for entirely too long.)

That's great, it starts with an earthquake. Birds and snakes, an aeroplane, and Lenny Bruce is not afraid...

Had a phone interview today for an externship at the General Counsel of the Department of Health and Human Services. Think it went decently well, despite how much I hate talking on the phone. And, if I get this, I think my healthcare law aspirations are more achievable.

Who knows, maybe I will get a job after I graduate from law school lol

Also, won my first ever trial last semester, as a Student Attorney (with the help of a partner, and under the supervision of an actual attorney) in the inaugural class of the newly created Domestic Violence clinic at my law school(the clinics first trial), for a Protective Order case that Legal Aid was unwilling to take on because they thought our client didn't have a case---and still managed to get a B+ on the Final I had the very next day. Highlight of my law school career.

Now that Lizzy is bigger (and we've figured things out), I feel like there's a little more time in the world.

I bought a couple of semi-nice pens awhile back, because I wanted a really nice pen but didn't trust myself not to lose it. The first of the semi-nice pens has run completely out of ink, and the second one is on its way, and if it runs out and I don't lose it, I'm going to let myself get an actual nice(ish) pen.

I just got asked to join a Board of Directors.

Because they think I'd be a valuable addition.

It just sounds so grown up.

Depending on time commitment, I'll likely accept.

I'm such an adult, holy s***.

When kids are in my office chewing gum, crunching candy, generally making mouth noises, clicking fidgets, etc., it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I can't handle it at home or in public or on stupid freaking TV commercials (*glares at Kit-Kat*), but in my professional role I'm completely chill.

I'm so proud of me :)

I did a presentation for roughly 30 professionals in my field. It went pretty dang well, too. No vomit, or signs thereof, and no stuttering.

I got caught up tonight on my committee work. Woo-hoo! :)

(It's constant, sometimes tedious, and definitely time consuming.)

Awesome! I am jealous. Of anything involving being "caught up."

Personal Triumph: I somewhat got over my complete chickenshitness about dying my hair. It is dyed. It is essentially brunette-er, not a drastic difference, but it is for me. It is weirding me out how fast I am getting used to it, I've always loved my natural hair color. I love this, too, though.

(The grays were getting to me. There weren't a TON, just enough to piss me off every morning before blow drying my hair.)

Also, I got to talk to my hair stylist about kids on the spectrum and 1) Now have a new place to try to get Atticus to handle haircuts and 2) talked her into talking to her sister-in-law (who recently asked her advice about this) about getting an early intervention evaluation for her (the hair stylist's) niece, like, yesterday. Stuff like that tends to make me go, "Wow, it's weird how things all connect." Anyhow.
