Ooh I like these lists!

States to which I have been:
Alabama
Alaska
Arizona (Drove through on the way to Vegas, which is all of like 20 miles of AZ, but still)
Colorado
Georgia
Idaho
Kansas (Drove through)
Kentucky (Drove through--and a layover in the Cincinnati airport)
Maryland
Massachusetts (in utero, but I'm counting it)
Minnesota
Missouri
Nevada
Tennessee (Drove through)
Utah
Virginia
Washington
Washington D.C. (Not a state, I know)
Wyoming

The coasts desperately need my attention...
I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

My Tips for Fighting of the Beginnings of a Cold:

-Drink lots of hot drinks like coffee and tea, but also lots of water
-Half some hot soup with your meals
-Take some allergy medicine to offset any sinus issues
-Keep yourself warm: socks and shoes... no sandals!
-Sleep with a scarf
-Gargle with hot salt water a few times a day
-Sleep!!!
-Don't over exhaust yourself
-Don't share drinks, toothbrushes, chapstick etc.
-Similarly, stay away from other sick people

For the night i use a small towel that can barely wrap itself around my neck.

Though by the morning it usually ends up wrapped around my feet, somehow...

Why wear anything around your neck in bed at all? What purpose does that serve?

I personally have a chronic bronchitis. I think. I mean, i always get bronchitis when the time gets colder, and even with good time i cough very occasionally.
In any case, with bronchitis, i notice that it eases when i cover my neck and the central part of the upper chest... and sadly none of my pajamas have turtle neck...

Maybe it's purely psychological? could be, but i feel better when i cover my neck regardless :)

I guess I'm weird...when it's cold, and sometimes when it's not, I sleep with my comforter pulled up to my chin so that it's covered but not by a material I can't easily remove. Well, a towel is easy to remove but I only bring those into bed during my period to add extra protection to my sheets.

My tip for fighting a cold or its beginning:

Whiskey. Or rum. Or brandy. And if you feel up to it, you can dilute it with hot lemon, ginger, and honey.

Off To A Good Start In 2013 Because:

Have actually put things in January to January jar
Visit from my mom and brother
Am taking good, positive, important steps towards finding employment, even if they are baby steps
Am writing down what I'm eating still, several days in (trying to be more mindful about what I eat).
Bought a new shower curtain liner

This is going to be my year, I am one hundred percent decided. No more existing in a weird state of limbo. Back to life. No more being too haunted by 2011 to breathe, never mind move or talk or dream.
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

Batgirl
Swamp Thing
Animal Man
My Little Pony

Comics I buy occasionally:

The Flash

My Little Pony
How have you liked these? I really enjoyed one reading experience and was disappointed with the other because was almost like they were doing caricatures of them and they had to be bizarro caricatures at that.

There have only been two so far, so I find it hard to judge where they're going with the story. I've kinda liked them, they were fun - I like that the art is like the show, but stylized. We mostly get them for Ginny, because she wants a comic too when we go to the store, so MLP works out well for that.
One Duck to rule them all.

I normally don't like winter. Short days, stupid cold weather, etc etc.

Things I Do Like:
Watching snow fall (from inside)
The excuse to make lots of soup
It's cold enough to enjoy lots of quilts (for the weight)
That warm snuggly cocoon feeling

note worthy things that I did/ that happened to me in the last 48 hours

I finished my I-search!!!
I performed in front of over 500 people
I sang a song win front of those people with over 250 people
I almost fell of of the risers (200+ people do not belong on 3.5 risers)
I posted my first ever youtube video
I found another EG fan (my choir director)
I got to catch up with people who I haven't seen in a year and greatly miss
I finished another series of books
I think I aced a Geo Honers quiz (cross fingers)
I studied for the afore mentioned geo quiz
I started a new pweb thread (who knew)
I finished a website
I almost shut up Will (if you've seen him talk you'll get that even almost is noteworthy)
I learned that uploading a youtube video takes FOREVER
I slept (unlike a whole bunch of my classmates see aforementioned I-search)
I helped my friend finish her I-search
I ate toast for breakfast (actually the noteworthy part is just that I ate breakfast)
I finished my math HW
picture day
I got drenched on my way to choir (singing in the rain)
I had a single post with 8 total () (10 if you count the example and the one I am now writing in)
"when a school counselor called her in to tell her that the school administration was growing concerned about the fact that Petra seemed to be associating with the antisocial element in the school, she knew that she was truly at home in Maralik."

So, I'm shopping for a new car. I've managed to narrow it down to three based mostly on the simple fact that these are the only mid-size sedans with a sunroof that have enough head room for a 6'6" dude. Listed in order of favorites.

VW Passat 2.5L SE
Night Blue Metallic
Moonrock (gray) interior
Sunroof
Navigation

Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium
Deep Indigo Pearl
Ivory interior
Moonroof
Audio system upgrade

Ford Fusion 1.6L SE
Deep Impact Blue
Charcoal Black interior
204B appearance package
Moonroof
MyFordTouch Tech package
The enemy's fly is down.

Things that Confuse Me Browsing Wedding Boards on Pinterest
This obsession with mason jars. And burlap.
Most everything "rustic."
Also the obsession with blush dresses. (side note: I don't know about you, but when I blush it's red, not pale pink)
Aisle runners.
Pew/aisle decorations in general. Churches are already pretty--they don't need giant bouquets on every single pew.
Gaudy outdoor aisle/wedding arch set-ups. Nature is already pretty. Set up some chairs and maybe a simple arch to say "This is where this is going down" and call it good. Especially beach weddings. Beach=casual.
Cutesy ways to ask people to be bridesmaids.

For the record, I don't think there is anything wrong with liking any of these things or the people that do--to each their own--but they are everywhere on pinterest and I don't quite understand why.
I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

Are we to assume the hummas and grilled feta were absolute failures? Or just not quite as delicious as hoped for?

The hummus and feta were edible and even somewhat decent but yeah, not quite what I was hoping. I'm still debating whether or not I should try again.

I have since also made cranberry scones, which I just found out are basically all mine because zero doesn't like cranberries and failed to tell me this before I both bought them and then used them.
