If it's just the suitcases, King leaps on top with no trouble. The unstable mess on top is too high for him to think he can jump it, and makes him wary of climbing because he's already pulled some of it over on himself once.

If you don't mind sacrificing fashion, a cheap pair of army-surplus wool pants will do the trick for snow pants. That's what I use, and I got my pair for maybe $10, which is much much cheaper than the correspondingly sized snow pants would have been. :thumbs: The scarf doesn't need to be super-funct...
