Re: Ender's Game Tattoo

Small... get Bean. He's small, some of the time. As for my skiing ant idea... it's funny because even if you're a cryptic crossword/pictionary champion you'd have to be an EG-(Shadow) fan to get it. Abandoning for a moment the Enemy's Gate idea, you might have a dragon with the words "Ender's J...

It said I got 23/24 but none of my answers were red and I couldn't find a mistake. If there was one it must have been a very subtle difference.

And there was no question about what age he went to CS at.

Eh, that'd be pretty cool. I've never really thought of an EG tat to be honest, it's a good idea though. As for actual symbols representing the gate... hmmm, not sure. I'm not much of an artist (and this isn't particularly sleek or elegant) but a square (as the door) with a silhouette of a person wi...

Same here, only I can't do it at school. Home's fine but the school computers (for some unknown reason) don't display the captcha, making it impossible for me to cast my vote there.

Re: Can you guys help with a dilema?

Thank you all for this! It was as much encouragement as it was advice and it worked, mostly. Her response was less of a lecture (I told her first that it didn't seem like a 'phase' or any of that and intended to be a good Christian) and more of a little interrogation. She asked me why I thought it w...

Re: Can you guys help with a dilema?

So you're opting to wait a little? I'm settled/comfortable in the matter myself, I'm just not sure that mum ever will be. You're right, that as long as I'm not dating a guy the point isn't too pressing. I think it'd be different if I's gay because they'd eventually start wondering about why I didn't...

Is there a means of messaging every active user? Or e-mailing them? If all registered users (or maybe just active ones) were encouraged to vote daily for a month then we'd overtake the leader.

Re: "Turn him loose as a theorist..."

The marrying/voting thing was just an example of human rights (when/if gay marriage is legalised), but probably a poor one. I think, to be self-aware or conscious is the ability to percieve the world around you, percieve yourself and distinguish the difference and then act according not to logic but...

What do you guys think about waiting a year (give or take) so she'll not treat it like a "phase". I know that's not top priority but it'd be nice to avoid that part of it.

Self-aware, evil, bisexual computers. That'd be messy.

Oh well, if a computer was self-aware, would it be allowed to vote, marry, do human stuff or not? Would it be human?

That seems rather cruel. It does, doesn't it? Oh well, if that's the case, I guess I'm lucky. My brother sees it that way, he says "keeping your [my] options open". Makes it more convenient apparently. [edit] Mmmm... we could discuss this in theorist. I was going to start something about ...

Thanks for this guys. I like the idea of a preemptive explanation of how it affects stuff. That's quite an impressive collection! Just about every movie for the last six years at least? That's pretty cool and even more absurd than my brother's collection of used up gift cards. I have also never had a ticket of the cardstock-y variety, I've only ever been given receipt paper ones.
