Ender's Game Comic

Most of you guys probably know that Marvel is doing an Ender's Game comic. From the looks of it, it looks great. It seems to follow the book VERY closely and the art work looks fantastic. In a recent interview with Marvel, OSC said how happy he was with the story and that it's better than any screen...

Just read the entire thread... Some of you guys are crazy! :) And I mean that in the best way possible. I started my own exercise program a couple days ago (just sit ups and pushups, but I run all day too it's just not part of the program). I think I'm going to try that 100 pushups like a few others...

Entourage -- the only show I have to watch.

I'm unfortunately about a year behind on every TV show. I usually wait for them to come out on DVD and then my girl and I will have a marathon on the weekend and get "caught up".

There really aren't many OSC books that could be adapted into movies very easily. That being said, most of his newest books could be translated relatively easily (not saying they'd make good movies as they weren't great books but...) and EMPIRE was optioned by Joel Silver last year.

I loved it. It was exactly what it needed to be. I'm with ya locke, the tarzan moment was great. The only issues I had with the movie are all the cute fury creatures. I got flashbacks to the Star Wars trilogy redux.

As far as I know it's still in turnaround. Nothing has been said otherwise. But if OSC and Peterson weren't seeing eye to eye that was just a recipe for disaster. If OSC gets a director and they share the same vision it'll be easier to get the studio on board. If in fact Warner Bros. still owns the ...

Taken from the same site... Orson Scott Card had his own panel at NYCC on Saturday, and he talked about the Ender's Game movie. He said that he and Petersen split because Petersen wanted to make a movie that was called Ender's Game but had no relation to the book that Card had written. He also said ...

Peterson officially off the movie, first draft of new screenplay is done and Card is working on the rewrite. Producers hope to move forward and begin filming in early 2009 (yeah right). At least it's news and at least they're still trying to get it made. http://io9.com/381714/wolfgang-peterson-off-e...

Because we're all desperate for news...

I took this out of OSC's newest essay on Hatrack (OSC Reviews Everything)... "It's hurting me, too. For instance, I have a whole new angle of attack on the script to my movie project Ender's Game. It's terrific -- it's going to make this movie absolutely work. But I can't show it to anybody. Ev...

I saw that too! Too bad about Harry Potter, but this is really a once in a lifetime opportunity for Del Toro, and it's a perfect fit. He really is the only person who SHOULD direct it outside of Peter Jackson.

The studio dropped Halo before the shorts came out. And it's a 150-200 million dollar science fiction movie based off of a video game with a first time director. Why wouldn't studios be concerned?

Ender's War

I bought Ender's War off of Amazon for $3.90 and it said that it was in "very good" condition. I got it yesterday and I was blown away, there is a little wear on the dust cover, but the actual book is nearly perfect. Well worth that ten dollars (with shipping). I'm excited. Anyone who does...

Having just reread your post locke, the only problem I have with everything you said is Wolfgang Peterson himself... The man hasn't made a good movie in a long time. ... James Cameron's AVATAR is coming out in 2009 and is using a state of the art motion capture. At the time of it's release it is supposed to have photoreal CGI while also being in 3D. ENDER'S GAME could benefit greatly from this style of filming. It makes the childrens ages easier to manage, puts ...

I try to, but I find that it's hard to keep up with. It's easier on the national level as it gets more air/attention. It's odd, the things that have a direct effect on me daily are generally on the local level and those are the things that generally get ignored.
