Re: Favorite Character in the Ender or Shadow series?
Quin-Jao I believe it was...or Qing-Jao, something like that...Gloriously Bright is what it meant though. It's been a bit for me as well... yes thank you that was the name...something about her stuck and I think I wash my hands more than anybody I know because of her. But at the same time her story...

off the top of my head I'd say older Bean (Shadow of the Hegemon and Giant books), we're talking during his time with his Thai troops. And Older Ender during the Speaker for the dead and Children of the Mind books. The way they stand out to my mind I can't post here without mentioning. Hand down the...

by your last couple lines I hope so. I hope it's "hey I'm different from the book, but I"m not opposite it" kind of thinking. I don't have twitter or the actors emails cause I'd love to ask him what he means (without spoiliers).

Re: Bonzo no Bonzo?
interesting idea, perhaps they will, though it makes me wonder if this is going to be different because of the age difference in the new script or because the movie couldn't be done with an R rating. Rather I don't believe it will be R rated due to the need for family audiance

Re: Hello fellow pwebbers. (Wondering about hatrack)
simple, you put a hat on the head of a jockey, and the hats race. Big brims help at the finish line but hurt (extra drag) during prolonged races. seriously though: OSC did once tell me that it was properly a "hat rack" upon which hats are hung... why there was a river in a book named that...

Re: Random things that remind you of PWEB or people here
so in my English class there is one girl who is smart, but she is always smart-mouthing off the teacher, she reminds me quite a bit of Petra. We were in the middle of discussing immigration and she was going off on some thing about who knows what. (I wasn't exactly paying attention in class...) The...

I have been wondering, would Ender have been able to defeat the buggers, had he known the game was real? Yeah, I only figured it was Petra because it's a girl close to Bean. And it's gotta be Bean because it's the cover of Ender's Shadow. No one looks like what I expect, probably because OSC spends little to no time describing their looks apart from "small". To be honest, I expected Bean to ...

I think Noodle says it best. As a launchie here, though not a newbie by any measure, I have long been aware that boards need to change with the times in order to survive.
