Also, I forgot to mention earlier, hahahaha, "baby cage". Did you pick that up from me/us, or did we independently come up with the most accurate moniker?

Re: Brontosaurus Lays an Egg
Hooray puke-free!!! We were so unprepared for Nom. She was so early and we were moving and everything was madness and chaos and new-parent-ness. Even after she was in the hospital for the first two and a half weeks, she slept in her stroller for a week or two before we got a crib mattress. I think s...

Re: "I HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE AND I MUST TALK ABOUT IT" Thread
I had somehow forgotten my discontent at the "Enemy's Gate is Down" handling. Boothby's totally right about that one. We're still not entirely sure if Ender was talking with Bean or Alai there. But it should have been all Ender.

Re: "I HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE AND I MUST TALK ABOUT IT" Thread
I got chills and quite possibly nearly pissed myself when Graff said the "I've watched through his eyes..." line. Rei and I spent pretty much the whole movie clutching each other and literally shaking with excitement. Some of the adaptive changes I really approved of. Having Ender in an IF...

I don't regret a single minute of my first aid/CPR training or re-certifications, and when we can afford it, I'd like to re-cert and get Brent to take it too.
Hooray, Kelly, no GD!

Man, now you all have me wanting tomato soup. And Rei doesn't like it. Might just have to be too bad for him, lol! Or maybe I'll cheat and use passata or something and have some for lunch, because man it sounds delicious right now. Edit: Yep, too bad for him. I've found tonight's dinner. There's lot...

Oak leaf wine: surprisingly potable! A bit sweeter than I'm used to in wine, very lightly carbonated, and actually somewhat pleasant. Definitely not your usual wine. We will be perfectly okay drinking the 3.5 bottles we have.

Re: Things I Don't Understand
We learned an awful lot from the previous experience. We know what our rights are (and our responsibilities) and are pretty done with being accommodating stuff like this. We are very, very lucky in that we have a friend here who is a property lawyer - he handled the dispute with the previous letting...

Re: The Smells in My Kitchen
We are doing cider as well! Sadly our perry actually went off, but the yeasted and wild yeast ciders are both doing quite well so far! Soon we'll be able to try the spring oak leaf wine and see if it is even marginally drinkable, but we have quite a few months yet for the elderflower and tea wines (...

I've recently been through the "bursting into tears when someone is nice and I'm miserable". Sympathy!
And so much sympathy for the pregnancy. I didn't have it so bad, and it still sucked. Soon it will be over, I promise!

Hey guys and hey Bob, I'm still around, sort of. I haven't abandoned Pweb. Things have just been really busy and really tough, and I don't have a lot of energy. I'm trying to get my dissertation written by the end of the year and Nom is exhausting and it's harvest/canning season and yeah. I miss you...

Re: Random things that remind you of PWEB or people here
I was entertaining Nom on our walk through the park, and I spotted some pigeons and sped up with the pram, to chase them. Then I remembered it was spring and I was probably being disruptive to them (beyond the usual), so I felt mean and stopped. Thanks, Nomi!

Pregnancy is not a rational time. What you're going through sounds awful, and I wish I could offer anything more concrete than that it does improve. Keep a sharp eye on that depression, and listen to David if he expresses worry (it's hard to get an accurate read on your own depression, after all!). ...

Yeah, don't let anybody make you feel guilty for not enjoying it! It really does suck. I mean, some women seem to enjoy it, but I think they are weird. And all those happy, glowing women in adverts and on products? I hate them all.
