four

I tend to look for the number 4 in everything. It started when I was thirteen. My friend Jason, his girl Amber and I were talking on her porch. Amber's mom poked her head out the door and told her to run a message to the neighbor. Amber said to us she'd be "back in a minute." Jason began c...

Re: The Latin Club

For all those learning Latin, those interested, or those thinking about getting a Latin tattoo (hint: it's a bad idea ). Discussion, griping, late-night panic, it's all here. I'm going to kick things off: Anyone got any tricks for memorising pronouns and conjunctions and all words beginning with &q...

For EG I'd want to play Crazy Tom, like Mich said "he so cray-zee." But I think I'd be better suited for Nikolai in ES. I'm too old & pale, but I always loved how his only purpose in the story was to be Bean's friend. I think I could play that.

The closest I've come to learning latin is reading about the disc but I'm pretty certain aliquis begins with an a. Then again, I don't always understand Pratchett's guild names, either.

Stranger Than Fiction

Make them laugh than break thier hearts
Chuck Palahniuk

Maybe Chuck's a bit intense for a high school graduation speech but it could translate. Start light, end deep, be brief in between.

And wigginboy, if you're reading this before Monday, you should study EL's Step One.

I tend to think that Ender's only defense is his young age. He committed this act with the mentality and dependence of a child. This creates the validity in neo-dragon's argument. I don't feel this works as far as an adult being absolved of guilt because they were brainwashed and/or misled. Good exa...

This thread is making me feel awkward. Last night at work my foreman had moved a few of us around. The guy she on my usual machines asked if I wanted to trade. I said sure. The machines he ended up with had messy problems for the first 6 hours. I helped him out where I could. It would've been worse ...

Our landlord lives above us and has loud sex. It would be so much easier if we didn't know who it was that we were hearing. Every time I see her, I feel slightly awkward. Keloids

I get keloids. Keloid scarring is a genetic condition where a person's scar tissue does not stop growing when it covers a wound. The cells keep multiplying till whenever leaving a nasty, bubbly, overgrown scar that won't go away. Medical science doesn't have too much in the way of an explaination. V...
