Bob, one of my oldest friends is over, I haven't seen him in a few years. I was told awhile ago that he had bipolar, but I never expected for him to be like this when he came. He is severely paranoid, he doesn't make sense a lot of the time when he talks. He's not who he used to be, he's not the chi...

I had a reaction to Ender's Game

Having read the book recently I can happily say that I had a reaction to Ender's Game. I had been worried that I would not have a reaction, as there have been things that have left me reactionless before, but that was not the case this time. I think everyone should have reactions to EG, since otherw...

We had no trick or treaters, sadly. Now we have a ton of candy that I'm going to have to eat. I went to a really sweet Halloween carnival though. The box maze was particularly amazing (excuse the pun, it wasn't intentional). As was my costume. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f28/LilBee91/Hermione...

Satya also had the Sparrohawk log in, that didn't make him Otaku.

Though I suppose it's possible that bc's humour and personality have changed dramatically to be remarkably similar to Satya's since he's been gone, but I'm still calling shenanigans.

I don't see this as a publicity stunt, you're quite right she doesn't need it. It appears more to be something personal that she decided and felt was a good thing but that I, in my magnificence, ultimately deem shallow and empty. Of course, I could be wrong, she could well have simply decided to do ...

I don't think so. At least when I was reading the book it didn't strike me as odd that he wouldn't go after Grindewald because of their friendship. He might well have loved Grindewald without being gay.

The fact that, to you (i.e. to Harry), Dumbledore appears asexual (or without sexuality, which is different, but let's move past that) is testament to his professionalism as a headmaster and his importance as a mentor. Hell, Harry used it as a MANTRA in that last book that there was SO MUCH (insert...

Eh, I don't buy it. Unless you spend your time decrying ALL of the arbitrary decisions about character backstory that don't explicitly affect the story. This isn't an element of the character's backstory, it's who the character is. And in any case, my problem with her revealing this is solely based...

Moreover, it would have been a cheat to her audience to have broadcasted the fact in the books themselves. Think about it: whose story was this? Harry's. In what capacity did Dumbledore relate to Harry? As headmaster and mentor. It wouldn't have made sense (further, it would have been inappropriate...
