Bean is a lot more, active than i am. He reacts so quickly, but Ender is more suave and slow about it, and I think I'm more like Ender.
Luckily I am reading Ender in Exile, and have First Meetings and A War of Gifts in my possession.

Sounds like you're blaming Ender
I finished SotG and Shadows in Flight. And I enjoyed Flight much more than I thought I would. Now I just want Shadows Alive.

Re: Bean Launch Group
And the honest thing is, a lot of us would be happy to watch a 3 hour movie just to see as much as we can.
I just am excited and scared to see if/where they go on a large movie franchise with the Enderverse.

Dude that's rough, the thing about your girlfriend. I lost my brother to cancer a few years back, so I know it sucks to lose someone so close...Except for some reason to cope I read 2001: A Space Odyssey haha Most of the time, I consistently think "What would Ender do.." "This is kind...

Re: Favorite book in the Enderverse and why...
I only know this, because of his foreword to SftD. But after that i kinda stopped reading forewords...so he could have said something along the lines of what you're saying in Xenocide. Yeah, I saw that. How Bean's stories are more relevant, and more real to us. Action packed. But I suppose what pref...

Okay, I don't want your brain to explode, trust me. How about instead of exploding, you just give yourself a headache? Here, I'll help. Try to put them first in order of how much they mean to you (through subseries, or the Enderverse as a whole. ie: Shadow Series, Ender's Quartet, side stories, or a...

Re: Bean Launch Group
If they do the mind game, I hope that it is with heavy CGI, just because that's how I imagined it in my head. Looking new Alice in Wonderland-esque graphics. And I hope it's super brutal. Is there any word on when the 3rd prequel book comes out? Because now all I'm waiting for is that and Shadows Al...

Re: Bean Launch Group
Man, that's so upsetting. If it's supposed to be a split between Ender's Game/Shadow, they should show Bean's past! And I know that they're probably not including Achilles and Sister Carlotta, anyways. (Besides, they'd probably mispronounce Achilles name anyways ;D) It just seems like they should do...

Bean Launch Group
I read on Ender's Ansible that Bean and Ender are supposedly in the same launch group. I'm pretty upset by that, I hope that they don't make them great friends from the start. I don't wanna miss out on friendships like Alai and Ender. Or Nikolai and Bean. It will probably be good, but I liked the id...

I know that some people are gonna strongly disagree with me, but Xenocide tops all of the other books for me. Don't get me wrong, I love them all with a very burning passion. But this book was centered around ethical, moral, religious, and family problems, and was tackled and executed with such accu...

PWEB reference in Shadow Puppets!
I was just stoked to read that for the writing of Shadow Puppets, Orson Scott Card relied heavily on resources such as the TimeLine available in many places, but namely, by Card, here on the Philotic Web!
I just thought it was cool that he came here for help.

Descoladors Planet? (Xenocide/Children of the Mind)
Orson Scott Card has not yet closed up the story on the planet where Descolada originated, and was left open at the conclusion of Ender's Quartet. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think he's gonna close up this sub plot in Shadows Alive? Do you think he should? How do you want or imagine this ...

Re: How were u introduced to EG?
I was reading this series by Stephen King "The Dark Tower" and I was getting super into and loved it a lot. I made my friend Caleb pick it up so that I could talk with someone about it. I went back to read it over again with Caleb, but he insisted that I read his favorite series. I wasn't ...

Ender's "side stories"
These 4 books (First Meetings, A War of Gifts, Ender in Exile, Shadows in Flight) just came in the mail today, and I'm freaking out in excitement, though I'm reading the Shadow Series right now, I'm part way through Shadow Puppets. What do you think of the side stories I mentioned? Without spoiling ...

It's Wang-MuRight, but it was QIn Jao who scrubbed her hands and whose name meant Gloriously Bright. Wammu (however its spelled) if memory serves was the servant girl who slept with the guard so that she could be QinJaos servant after she met her in the field

Re: Did Ender's Game make you cry?
That particular book did not, no. But a part in Xenocide did. SPOILER AHEAD ALERT. The chapter "grego's war". When Grego forms a mob and they get out of control and burn down the Pequenino forest nearest to Milagre, and then Miro stands between the piggies and humans. The enormity of that ...

Valentine. All the way. Her good intentions and way of saying the worst things when you need to hear them, but in the best ways so it doesn't hurt. And just her way of being social, bring the community together perfectly, the thing that she did much better than Ender did. Valentine is my woman.

Re: Favorite Character in the Ender or Shadow series?
So far, Adult Ender and Olhado are among my favorites. Quim was cool as well. Olhado had such a pure heart, and simple intentions, and Quim was just so true to himself. With both of them, their whole families went to make a difference through science and saving Lusitania, through ridding the world o...

Re: Ender and Novinha
It was more about the kids than Novinha, I think. If he hadn't have done that, some of my favorite characters either wouldn't have been there, or just wouldn't have been the same people. Case and point, Olhado. Because of Ender he made it his life goal to become a good dad. And his side story had to...

I know you requested that I comment on your blog, but I wanna do it here! But I will check out your blog. I loved it. It was amazing to see the things Ender's did from someone else's view. CAUTION SPOILERS AHEAD. For example, when Ender had just killed Bonzo, and walked back to Dragon Army's Barrack...

Re: Reaction to Enders Game
To story as a whole, I reacted mostly to Ender as a human being. I think how Ender works is something many humans should strive to become. And the fact that he is so symmetrical (being both Peter, and Valentine) is something we should do. His self analysis, his ambition, his willingness to do what i...
