Oh God. Oh God. I'm not allowed in here, so I'm just going to drop this for whoever and run screaming from the thread. Hi Alea, Thanks to write and for your interview offer. I would love to do it, except that I think it would be a little dificult for me if it´s a spoken conversation podcast, I´m no...

Re: Currently Reading / Just Read (Books/stories/whatever)
I'm listening to an audiobook of Stephen King's Under The Dome. Really enjoying it. Haven't read/listened to King in a few years - last thing I read/listened to was Cell, which I actually quite enjoyed.

Re: TV in General - Rants, Reviews, Etc.
On another note, we just watched a British series called Survivors on Netflix streaming. It's only 2 seasons of six episodes each. It reminded me of The Walking Dead but without the zombies, which sounds boring but isn't! A virus wipes out 99% if the population and it's about the survivors. It's re...

Delegate, delegate, delegate :) There are so many wonderful talented people here who could pool their resources, even to a small degree, be assigned one set of distinct responsibilities, and thus get something running. If all the work is on the back of two or three people, I agree - nothing will eve...

Re: Pweb Meta Talk: Can we move it? Make it better?
My thoughts, as someone who recognizes his (legitimately earned) 'lesser status' in the current world of PWEB, based on my original thoughts and intentions for the site, updated for the Next Generation: Don't duplicate content that can be found elsewhere. I guess I'm a little concerned about the con...

Jumping in in the middle, and not knowing all you have access to, my recommendation would be to install a CMS/Blog Service like WordPress. Everything you've expressed you want done can be relatively easily performed, and fully customized and skinned according to your desire. Wordpress would allow ea...

Cheese or Font: The Game
The game where you choose whether the word is the name of a font, or the name of a cheese.
for the record, the few moments I played, I was failing miserably.

I'll be watching it tonight... we don't have cable, or even hook up our TV for broadcast. All our TV comes through NetFlix, HuluPlus, or the Networks putting their shows up the Day After. No online shows, no watch.I am SO annoyed at last night's HIMYM, I cannot even express.

So my wife has had a set of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs plastic banks from when she was a kid, that Anne has fallen in love with. Because the first one she brought to me was Dopey, I gave that name when she asked me what it was. She thought that was hilarious, and called him "Dokie". Now, ...

However Lion King is barely a musical with three songs sung by the cast (The rest is overlay music). Let me guess: "Circle of Life", "Be Prepared", and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"? I've never seen it, but those are my guesses. Circle of Life would be an overlay son...

CONFESSION: This evening, my 19 month old daughter tripped, fell, and got a little cut on her chin. I was this close to driving her to the Emergency Room to make sure she didn't need stitches. By this close, I mean, she was strapped up in the car seat, and I was making sure I had my up to date insur...

Re: TV in General - Rants, Reviews, Etc.
My thoughts on the current shows: The ending of the season opener of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES was all sorts of perfect. The new show UP ALL NIGHT starring Will Arnett ("Gob") and Christina Applegate is a little too painful/cringeworthy/awkward to watch. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is still hi-freaki...

Re: The Musicals Thread
I will say my first experience with a stage musical was a high school production of The Sound of Music, where I performed in the pit orchestra (French Horn). The most memorable part of that experience was a notebook the pit passed around making MST3K style comments throughout the rehearsals and prod...

Les Mis is coming to the Fox in April. I've never seen any stage production of it, although I've listened to many different cast albums. I'm ecstatic about the revised version. I nominate Dave to be next. He is more than welcome to do one and record it at any old time. However, I air them as close to first come, first served as possible, so that would have to wait its turn. Only if it's thought there would be an interest. It's been so long that there's probably about 5 or...

Not gonna lie, it's somewhat surreal listening to these and finding myself being referenced as somewhat of a mythic figure from Days of Yore. It really is mindblowing that this site has been going for over a decade. That's pretty cool.

I have to say the NLT is my favorite, and is quickly becoming my preferred version. I like the grandeur and poeticism of the KJV of course, and it's great for reading Psalms and such, but the NLT renders things with clarity without sacrificing the formal equivalency that I've come to rely on in scr...

If by alien you mean simply an intelligent being whose origin isn't our Earth, well, by that definition, if you want to call God an alien, go for it. Seems accurate enough to me, as oversimplified as it may be. However, if by alien you mean someone from a foreign land who has no inherent right to me...
