I don't really understand facebook's allure but I can understand why the school would block it. Parents would too, if they could. With all the arguments of wasting time meant for education and self-betterment and cyber-bullying and slander, they just have to block it. Funny thing is, someone saved a...

The Departed is a good, smart action film that I would definately consider worth buying...even two copies. Its clever and has a good plot and script. I personally think it is better than Italian Job or The Negotiator so I think she would like it. Have you seen Inside Man? That is also a really smart...

PAN'S LABYRINTH ***** This was an amazing film and like no other I have ever seen. It was stunningly visual and instantly moved the audience to the mystical world it created. It felt very much like a dark and imaginative Grimm's fairy tale (the three trials for the girl is a classic) with a deeper ...

Tea Party for the People of both Fiction and History that Ithy always wanted to meet and doesn't care if there is any possible friction in them all eating together at one table, so there: 1. Jesus (providing that the end of the world doesn't come as well) 2. Ender 3. Elizabeth Bennet 4. Mr. Darcy (o...

I loved the first one (now, I really, really want to go to Oxford) and the last hundred or so pages of Amber Spyglass but the rest was just a jumble in between which I barely have any recollection of. I enjoyed all three but the first is the one that I love. And its interesting to hear that Pullman ...

Pumpkins and Divorce
Something from Macleans, THE WIFE WHO LIES ABOUT PUMPKINS HAS TO GO For Ivan Dimitrov, married 18 years to wife Irena, her cheap deceit of substituting inexpensive pumpkins for zucchinis in his favourite pie was simply too much. Ivan launched divorce proceedings after finding pumpkin rinds in the ga...

I think I've just realized how few films I've seen this year so I doubt I'm really going to be a fair judge. But I agree, Mark 's performance in The Departed was so memorable and likeable! Djimon Hounsou was also really amazing in Blood Diamond though. So I can't really decide in the only catagory I...

Just finished it last night! It’s a pretty good read – really good actually, until you compare it with the Ender and Shadow series. The idea of a civil war did seem a little far-fetched at first but he provides great arguments about how this could possibly happen in America. Greatest action, sus...
