I used to spend a lot of time here. Then I kind of grew out of it. Now I just come around once every few months and do a bit of browsing. PWeb's still on my bookmarks bar, though.

*waves*

Edit: Whoa, I'm a launchie? Funny. I know I've posted since the meltdown. Wierd

Lurked a bit after discovering PWeb, then registered to answer a comment on EG (can't recall what it was..), then I left for a long time (I came back to Artemis Fowl- now I am a fan of both and HP, simultaniously) (that's the way you spell it, right?), and now I've returned, and I'll probably be away soon: that's the way I am.

So, you can call me a Lurker..

mea culpa.

i've no excuse, other than the fact that i'm apparently ridiculously cranky and looking for things to snap about.

i'm sorry, seth.

Although my memory isn't good enough to remember you all that well... I do seem to remember you with good connotations in my mind. Nice to see you around!

Oh, hello. I hope everyone's doing just dandy. I don't really lurk much. I'm either here or I'm not... addictive personality methinks. Anyways, just saying hey, and maybe I'll be around, but no tellin. Love the occassional pweb chat invites tho, especially when it's filled with unfamiliars.

You should de-lurk more often.

Nice to see you. :)

What the hey? 71 people were online and Pweb is still moving slow?

Hi, I'm suminonA and I'm a lurker (lately).

Maybe the slowness of the board has to do with all the dead horses and the whips and sticks beating them ... :D

You can see that in “Religion and Philosophy” best. There are a lot of posts along the lines: “We’ve discussed this subject on this or that incarnation of PWeb, so I have no patience to present my views here again for the newbies!” Nice way to encourage debate and newcomers :?

I think that the best way to un-lurk people is to open interesting/challenging threads. There was some while ago a series of “Debate thread: this vs that”. Why are they gone? :(

I even propose a new thread: “Debate thread: Debating, for or against?” ;)

Therefore, let it be resolved that we slaughter all the livestock and have a steakhouse on every corner.

any debaters?

I notice that whenever I logon, everybody else leaves. *sniffs* I try so hard!

I guess I would probably be considered a lurker since I have been reading a lot of the posts; but rarely post myself. I suppose to some of you that might be a plus since I did not really end my active period an a very popular member.

Of course, then again perhaps I am not considered a lurker since I remember "in my day" :P lurkers were mainly the unregistered guest or the invisible members. :)

Aww, you noticed! How sweet of you. *grin*

Okay, that aside, consider hearing that sort of thing as a rite of passage to becoming a full fledged, card carrying member of Pweb. I know it's hard to see what those rites include since they were all done away with by the last crash, but if you can make it through that and others that are bound to come your way, you're in.

Basically, have patience, keep posting, and assume that one day you too will be able to give newer members crap. :)

I think I'd post a one word response of "against", and never post anything else there.

POST! Postpostpostpostpost!

Ignore the crochety oldbies, because like Alea says, it's just the way things are.

Sorry, but that's a pet peeve of mine...

Poster: It's too quiet here, no one posts! *silence*

Lurkers, come out and post. I am in need of entertainment.

Sidenote: I find it hilarious for some reason that the dropdown menu for font color spells it "colour" and the tip underneath spells it "color," which would be the correct way. :P

Colour!! Colour is correct.

Pweb = slow and yes, I'm officially complaining about it here.

I miss hearing about some of you quieter ones, so come out and play, please. Don't make me mention you by your name, yes, I've noticed you've gone silent.

Slow??? I checked it last night. Now this morning there are new posts in about twenty different topics. I was shocked. Pweb hasn't seen that kind of action in a long time.

Not exactly a lurker -- more a returner from long hiatus. But I return mainly for the purpose of lurking, so that counts, right?

I read more often than I post, but I'd hardly consider myself a lurker. :)

Slow? It's Christmastime... for me, at least, I don't have access to my usual computer, ergo, fewer posts.

Posted: Sat Dec 27, 2008 9:40 pm

Yes, it is slower because it's Christmas time and people are with their families and such...but I've been keeping an eye on active threads and for the longest time, the front page has had threads on it from up to a month ago.

I've been feeling like it's me and one or two other posters doing all the posting with brief appearances by other people (with an exception when Nicole came back out of hiatus and it briefly picked up), and quite frankly I'm getting tired of the sound of my own voice, if you'll allow me to use that expression.

(If this makes no sense, blame it on the fact that I'm trying to entertain myself while a local yaps to me on the phone. *bitch*)

Thats because this forum has gotten immensely boring.

You all need to come up with a way, to make it more interesting.

THink up more interesting topics.

I guess I lurk because I never really find a topic worthwhile enough to post in.
