I know what you mean. Sometimes it's hard to know how much the drugs are helping and how much worse I would feel without them.

I hate the fact deer season is over here ( for my area) this weekend. I totally dig my out of state and country hunting but those trips are all planned out. Hunting deer at home and the ranch in Chewelah is always spontaneous and casual, most often with friends and family.

Haha!! They ARE delicious!

I didn't sleep much last night, so please forgive my brain's (non-)ability to communicate clearly. I'll rephrase: "Kids who are throwing up." :stoned:

I wasn't aware that Mormons ate babies, I thought it was just us atheists!

A mouse died in my heating ductwork and even though we got the carcass out, it smells SO BAD.

Only a couple days. We has set a trap because we thought they were in there. But because of the heat blowing through, the decay was accelerated. I've already sprayed some bleach and sprinkled some coffee grinds but when Mark gets home we're going to have to do a more thorough cleaning with the shopvac.

At first I thought you were saying you hate baking soda, but then I read up a couple of posts. :D

Blind shopping for people. I don't mean wearing a blindfold and shopping but rather not having a list of Wants and trying to guess at what someone will like. Even for people, like family, that I've known my whole life, I can't muster up even an ounce of confidence that I can, unassisted, pick something they'll like.

That, Alea, is one of the reasons a lot of the gifts I give are gag gifts. That way people know I didn't intend for them to like it. Mind, that makes me a rather crappy gift giver, but I'm working on it.

In that bind, I try to cast my mind back to anything they've mentioned liking or wanting, casually. If I can't do that, I find it way more stressful.

I hate feeling like I'm coming down with a cold. I don't have time to be sick.

Maybe it's just allergies. Or lack of sleep.

Ugh.. I'm getting over a cold. Got a sore throat Tuesday night, went downhill from there. Still have some congestion and drainage today.

I hate that i've been sleeping until almost noon for the past week. There's no reason for it, i'm getting way over 8 hours of sleep every night but i'm just so exhausted no matter what I do. Even after the massive amount of sleep, I find myself yawning all day and just so tired.

Being tired is exhausting.

Luet, I HATE mice. I had an infestation last winter... killed at least 15 of them in my studio apartment. I almost had to move. They freak me out so much, and they smell SO bad when they die in inconvenient places.

I am covered with dozens of no-see-um (sand fly) bites that itch horribly. They got in through the window of the bedroom we were staying in one night. I keep discovering new ones, which is making me paranoid that somehow they followed me back to NY. I hate itching!!

Every year, my Boy Scout troop got the same camping spot at our summer camp. It was, ideally, the perfect spot: the only one that wasn't directly adjacent to another troop; far enough away from the camp proper that you weren't woken up early by staffers; close enough that it wasn't a huge hike in; woods to our back, a meadow to our front. But one year, a year after our adults apparently annoyed the people who own the camp, we went to sign up and they told us that our spot was taken. For the next two months.

To get our same camp site, the one we had held for fifteen years, we had to go to camp in mid-August instead of the usual mid-June.

No-see-um season. And our site, as it happened, was right where they aaaaaaaaaaall hatched. That meadow turned into a swamp that late in summer. An entire week of being constantly swarmed by no-see-ums.

Those of us who hadn't brought long pants, or refused to wear them in the blazing heat, didn't have legs--we had bites. My arms were entirely covered in bumps, no smooth spot of skin anywhere. My neck. My knuckles.

They are the worst bug. The worst. And I hate them.

People who criticise our parenting style/routines/division of labour. Suggestions are welcome, the implication that I don't know what I'm doing is not. If it works for us, why is it any of your business?

Because you're raising your kid WRONG and because of your crappy parenting she will grow up to be a burden on society, and I'll end up having to support her with MY TAXES!

I'm really, really tired of being ill and in pain. This has gone on far longer than I can ever remember being ill in the past.

This, and I haven't been able to stay home from work. I almost fell asleep in the shower this morning.

I need to feel better!

Note: It is very, very rare that a girl will say she is cold and only be making an observation about her body temperature. When in doubt, offer a jacket. If less in doubt, offer an arm. My sympathies.

And all you sick people: feel better!

Hmm. I'm likely to comment on being cold because I'm cold. But then, I'm from a region where complaining about the cold is practically a winter sport, and also I fail at being subtle, so I'm more likely to say I'd like a cuddle.

And if we don't confuse you, how on earth will be able to convince ourselves that you're just dense rather than that you don't actually like us? I much prefer a world where boys are stupid than one where boys don't like me. (Just kidding about that last part--I like my boys smart).
