Also, I love writing assignments that can be turned around to suit your fancy. I've had enough assignments where I got screwed by creatively following the spirit of the assignment without precisely abiding by the letter, for professors who like to grade by a checklist, that I appreciate the dramatic irony of situations wherein I can follow the letter of the assignment and utterly disregard the spirit in which it was given.

I love dollar stores. I successfully acquired supplies to make an awesome happiness box for my roommate for under $10. Not that I would mind spending more, but dollar stores just have all the random things I need.

I found all the cat statues in the city, including three of them not on the official map. Woo!

Tonight is kind of perfect.

I'm in my comfy Tinkerbell jammies, hot Chai cooling off to drinkable temperatures while I read in bed, comforter drawn up to my chest, able to stay up as late as I want or sleep in as late as I want.

Yes. Things haven't been perfect, not by a long shot (please see Things I Hate), but when I'm sitting on the train or walking somewhere new or now familiar, when I'm looking at and thinking of all the things I can do and places I can go and all the things there are to see, I feel so damn lucky.

I'm making the rules, I'm making the decisions. I have freedom, a sense of adventure, and a whole world waiting to be discovered with nothing but work holding me back and I can't wait to see more.

We went to Ikea yesterday and dropped a bunch of money on a beautiful storage system. No one has to see messy piles of coats and shoes anymore! Yay!

I love that Tara will attack Donny's leg if he's holding Atticus while he's screaming. (Now that we're sure she's after Donny, not Atty.) I shouldn't, as it totally disrupts efforts to calm the baby, but I do. She's all, "You stop hurting the people-kitten! I mean it!"

Both cats are adjusting remarkably well, overall. I love that a lot.
