Okay, this is a triumph that hopefully other people WILL understand (as I'm going to be talking about it a lot) but I figured it goes here because, well, it's a personal triumph. And no one will ever get it just like I get it. Anyways. Here goes. Remember quals? That test with the August 6th due date? The five 10 page essays?

In other news, I hit the correct note loud and pretty on the tenor post for Dakota Wind tonight.

And I didn't snap at many people who deserved it.

And I stepped out of my comfort zone and hugged someone.

I managed to figure out the Proforma Update run ... even if I don't know why some of them didn't match...

I also came up with an idea or two that need putting into play, which ought to make life easier on people. *touch wood*

I wrote a Prolog code to evaluate the grammaticality of simple sentences! And it WORKS! (Now if only I could figure out how to save my test files...)

I can understand this, I think. Prolog is certainly an.... interesting language to learn, to say the least.

I used up an entire pen! (I usually lose them before they run out)

After feeling lost in EL's latin thread, I found an excuse to use a common latin expression in the world domination thread over in the game room. I ain't no dummer then most. Yea!

i took the time to design and pattern out a new acoustic guitar this evening! i'm excited about the design, should be a really really nice guitar. considering how busy and how tired i am, this is a big deal. i haven't had the chance to spend much time on anything but the band, work, school, and my fiancee. though i feel guilty that i'm spending time with anna, and thinking that i would really like to continue the guitar stuff. it's 9:30 pm, i could have already roughed out a side brace jig! oh well.

I got an A on my multivariate statistics exam!

He does not give out As lightly. Lots of students got less than Bs.

But not me. I got an A.

And he called the exam "impressive!"

I am so flippin proud.

I ate a whole sandwich baggie of Spicy Doritos. It's a big accomplishment for anyone who knows me or my taste buds.

My puppet team won three awards in our latest multi-state competition.

I'm getting really good at backward skating. ^_^

I just ran through setting up a kerberized ldap nss server. It's the first sysadmin-y thing I've done in a few months (well, besides the day to day stuff on the notebook). It feels good to know I can still do that kind of thing.

I dressed up as someone and asked someone else to dress up like a different someone and it involved striped stockings.

i went to the corner store and i did not buy hostess cupcakes.

I am not going to tease/chew out my brother for changing his facebook status to "Engaged", and especially not for the fact that his girlfriend changed it too.

I did not get hateful with a person I really really really wanted to tell was an idiot!

I did not cry in front of my professor when I was looking at the test key in comparison to my test.

It was really, really, really bad.

I got into Student Senate! It was my fourth try!

i made it 24 full hours without crying once.

I washed the dishes today and I really didn't want to.

I am no longer a launchie!!!

Today we went to Lowell, Mass, and we saw the building for The Sun and we were close to Boston and I was just so filled with joy. We have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age and just because you can't see fairies dancing on the lawn doesn't mean they're not real.

Oh, and I scheduled time to talk with a professor about some stuff that I don't want to talk about!

I slipped a birthday present into someone's bookbag and he will never know it was me.

I made the Christmas lights on a stage prop light up by using a spoon and duct tape to complete the circut because some idiot lost the switch.

I cried onstage and made my director cry while I did it.

I increased my ASVAB score 16 points in TWO months from a 73 to an 89
