Flight is the default answer, but, yeah, flight. And control over water.

The ability to fart on command.

I already have that super power Tcashon, I will teach you the way.

I don't think immortality is a superpower.

I'd pick Iceman's powers. The ability to control and make ice. That'd be awesome.

I already have this super power: to travel in the 2nd dimension.

Actually, I'd like invisibility (clothes included).

I'd go for flight--and the ability to keep warm and breathe really high up.

control of the weather or invisibility, most definitely

For me, it's all about gravity. Think about it: if you can control the direction and intensity of gravity's effects on discrete objects, that gives you telekinetic abilities, as well as an analogue of flight (though you're really just falling in an odd direction).

I have changed my mind. I would like the ability to use everyone else's powers (like Rogue, but without hurting them).

Root power on the source repository for the universe, which is well commented.

Immortality is too a super power.

Anything that exceeds the norm is defined as a super power. Living a life without death is a super power.

Kind of like Wolverines regeneration and long life... times one billion.

You read my mind! The other day I was trying think of an original mutant power for an X-men character, and I came up with gravity manipulation. If you could manipulate gravity at will within a certain area you'd effectively have the power of flight (or at least super leaping, if continuous falling doesn't count as flight), telekinesis (sort of), super strength (in the sense that you could make objects really light and thus be able to lift a car or something), and the ability to walk on walls and ceilings. Also, you can take out your enemies with ease just my making the gravity where they are standing 10 times stronger, thus crushing them. Or you could nullify the gravity around them so that they are stuck floating helplessly. Or you could do something cool like toss a handful of pennies over their heads and increasing the gravity on them so that they fall at the speed of bullets. And speaking of bullets, if someone was shooting at you, you could make the gravity in the area surrounding you so strong that the bullets would hit the ground before they reach you.

If I could only draw I would create a character with this power and sell the idea to Marvel! I would need a cool name though, and so far the only thing that comes to mind is "Gravitar"

But that's just me being creative. If I had to choose a power for myself it would probably be invulnerability or flight.

*edit*
or the ability to freeze time/move so fast that time appears to stand still for me. Yeah, I could probably have a lot of fun with that one...

*edit2*
Pyrokinesis would be a lot of fun too, but I can't really think of any non-destructive uses for it... other than self-defense, I suppose.

Here

Of course, totally full documentation includes coordinates of every atom, particle, and wave in the universe, together with vectors, at the "present" moment.[/url]

The power to control air, because you can fly, breathe underwater and in space, not have your head explode or implode in space and underwater, take all the air away from around someone's head, and blah blah blahhh..

The ability to manipulate light.
You mean like Jubilee's completely useless power?

Posted: Tue Jan 23, 2007 1:40 pm
by jotabe
Jubilee's power, afaik, isn't really useless, only that she doesn't have good control of it. (my knowledge on x-men is quite limited)

But controlling the light... man, that's scary.
Think about being able to keep everybody in darkness and only you being able to see. As light is just EM radiation, think about being able to heat or freeze bodies. But think beyond: think about LASERs.

No idea who Jubilee is.

But if I could control light, I could do a hell of a lot more than keep people in the dark. I could bend it around me, effectively making me invisible. With enough practice, I could make people see whatever I wanted them to. You'd never know what was reality and what was illusion. I might not be able to fly, but I could make you think I could.

And that's just the visible spectrum. Expand things further, and I have a LOT of subtle, distructive power. X-ray bombardment. Infrared. The possibilities are almost limitless.

Oh... from the X-Men. Her super power is controlling useless balls of light that don't do much.

I still say my mind control power is the best... because with it, I could control all of you and your other powers to do my bidding.. muahah! :)
