Pastafarianism

Postby fawkes » Wed Nov 22, 2006 3:55 pm

For those of you who don't know, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and the religion around Him, pastafarianism, is sweeping the net.

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?

*sob* he touched me with his noodley appendage inappropriately
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

You'd be suprised how often I hear that when I talk about His noodly appendage. Or not...

Um... I think this thread is a bit “dangerous”… I mean, think of all those other deities that aren’t being referenced here, not even in passing, like the IPU for example. Wouldn’t they be upset?

Just sayin’

Guest, just as warning, excessive leet on this forum may lead to ridicule, mockery, destruction of your ego, and possible injury or death.

You wouldn't say so if you knew the IPU. And it's true, I don't know "Cthulhu" at all (obviously), but knowing the allmighty IPU is enough to know that you are wrong :P

I can see Cthulhu with a couple of IPU ribs sticking out of it's gaping maw...slurping up noodles.

Clearly, you don't know Cthulhu like I do...

FSM is a result of God leaving spaghetti in His refrigerator too long and it started moving. He would've prevented it from escaping, but he was too busy selecting the perfect size meteor to crush the dinosaurs with.

You might be seeing the Cthulhu, but I doubt that you’ll ever see the IPU, or its ribs. The fact that it is invisible not only prevents its “capture” but also guarantees that you are talking about a false and irrelevant substitute of the IPU. :P

Well, obviously, the ribs are implied, since I can see the FSM's noodly appendages wrapped around something I just can't see (but know is pink, nonetheless)

And, please, don't degrade His Noodly Appendages by (falsely) claiming that He is some failed refrigerator experiment of God's. I can't begin to tell you just how offensive that is.

Oh, so you see something invisible (by implication) and you’re sure it is the IPU? Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.
Maybe you haven’t heard, but the IPU is by definition impossible to capture. So I’m still sure it is not the IPU but an irrelevant (pink) substitute of Her that was captured by that deity with the unpronounceable name of yours.

PS: just for the record, I don’t believe in the FSM.

I have one question: Do you mean to say that there isn't (or shouldn't be) an IPU ?!?!??!

The IPU is my steed, delivering me into battle so that I may smite mine enemies.

I've always found it funny what people thought they should worship.

I've contacted the IPU and she tells me that she doesn't know you. Therefore she can't be your steed. Are you calling the IPU a liar?

Well, that’s a curious statement… I know the IPU and all that she told me until now turned out to be true. So it’s your word against my dear and trustworthy IPU’s word.
Do you have any proof that you are telling the truth in this matter?
