You know, I sometimes wish this kind of stuff wouldn't get deleted. Sure it's just annoying spam, but it may for example in this case, start a conversation about ringtones or how annoying they are. PWeb being a slow forum needs all the topics it can get. It also makes me wonder how much spam has been deleted before I saw it.

And if leaving the thread around helps out John here a little bit, well, what's the harm in that?

Meh, what's the harm?

Personally, I've always half wanted to buy one as a guilty pleasure, but I can never bring myself to do it. I think I'm haunted by the fact that if I were to step out and actually sink so low as to buy a ringtone it would have to be a true representation of me, something really deep and personally meaningful, and completely non-embarrassing, which narrows the feild drastically... and I can never make up my mind.

That's totally how I am, too! I finally decided on one once, bought it, and it never worked. So I probably will never do it again.

I've bought a couple. They always tend to get irritating after a while though, and it almost ends up ruining the song, hearing it that often.
However, once I've had one, regular ring tones seem boring.
It's a lose/lose situation.

My best friend/exboyfriend has "Fly Me To The Moon" play whenever I call, not because there's any romantic feeling there anymore but because he knows I love Sinatra and I call him so often that he might as well have a good song play when he has to talk to me.

I have a memory card in my phone so i figured out how to get the song from the movie Babe (both the music and also the words, two separate ring tones) onto my phone...the "If I Had Words" one. It's great...I love Babe!

My cellphone came with the opportunity to download a few free ringtones.
My ringtone has thus been "Yellow" by Coldplay for the last...two and half-ish years.

I just go with the weirdest sounding of the default ringtones so I don't have to worry about my phone sounding like anyone else's. It's amusing when someone's phone goes off and you see half a dozen people dig into their pocket/purse/whatever to see if it's theirs.

I have looked and looked and looked for a ringtone version of this song that was not horrible. I haven't found one yet. If you find a good one though, I say go for it.

Right now I have The Sound of Settling by death cab. I usually have my phone on vibrate, but on the rare occations it actually sings, it makes me smile.

I use vibrate exclusively. That way I'm sure whether or not it's me.

Plus, it vibrates!

I have Revielle.

My mommy used to wake me up with a song to the tune of this. Still does, on occasion.
