Leonid Meteor Shower 2009

Get outside somewhere dark and clear, and bear witness to a cosmic phenomenon.

And remember, keep looking up!

Oh my gosh Jack Stargazer. I always watched that guy after the Red Green Show. I always thought he was local, never gave it a second thought.

Anyway, my roommate and I were planning on looking for the shower, even if it's overcast.

Is he a star gazer or a time traveler? I clicked that link and it was like I went 15 years back in time.

Well, by looking at the stars you are watching ancient history, so yeah, kinda.

Despite the city lights, I saw one clear meteorite, last night. I really look forward to living someplace that isn't a major city. I miss the stars.

I was very lucky; right up the road is this out of the way, dead-end street park that almost no one ever goes to, and we live in a fairly rural area anyways. It was pitch black and the sky was completely clear, no moon or streetlights or whatnot. I actually stumbled around a bit it was so dark. By the tiny little baseball field I laid flat on the bleachers and just stared up at like a million-billion stars and got a good look at a bunch of the meteors.

I remember exactly where I was and exactly what I was doing this night.
Yay, I'm a llama again!
