Jayelle (and Caspian)'s lazy Saturday

Postby Jayelle » Sat May 30, 2009 11:05 pm

This is my day in the life... today was a lazy Saturday.

We stayed up late last night, so we slept in this morning and played in the bed with Ginny until 11:20:

"Mom! Mom! Gimmie that camera!"

We then walked down the street for brunch at our favourite place - Stella's.

When we got home, Paul took a shower I let Ginny wander while checking the internet:
Image
She was wandering around our apartment naked, and the fallout of that was a mess of poo of the floor - this is an aftershot of the roll of papertowel used to clean it up and the unused potty that we didn't make it to on time:

After Ginny went down for her nap, we read.
Jan's Book

Paul's Book:

A bunch of the afternoon was spent cleaning our (very dirty) kitchen.
Here's a part of it before:

We cooked a big dinner. This is the beginnings of what became Aloo Gobi, Dal Makani and Rice:

Ginny was playing with her stuffed sheep and kept dropping it, so Paul attached it to some plastic rings. Later on, this was a funny sight:

We went out to return a movie, then got some ice cream. This is Paul waiting for ice cream with Ginny in the carrier.

A woman on the way home said (in broken English): "You look just like kangaroo mama!"

I also baked some cookies, but they were not photo-worthy.

And that was our day!

You seriously have one cute kid. You also have the smallest dishwasher I have ever seen, does it frustrate you or is it just right for the three of you?

I also love that my thread is up on your computer!

Loading our tiny dishwasher
I thought it was a microwave from the size.

Also, not only is Ginny herself a beautiful baby, she has gorgeous eyes.

I don't know why exactly but this thread makes me want to live in Canada. And play with Ginny. :)

Our dishwasher was an important addition to our marriage. We both HATE dishes. But our apartment can't have a built-in dishwasher because... it's an apartment and we rent. So we looked into getting a portable one, but all the full-sized ones were two inches too big to fit under this perfect space in our cupboard, so we ended up getting one that's the size of a large microwave. It doesn't do tons of dishes, but it's enough to make us no longer fight (as much) over dishes.

I just noticed that in the first picture there, all the bottles on my nightstand are turned with their label away from the camera. I'm so mysterious! What products am I using?

(actually, every one of those products is for Guinevere)
