When you wrote that DY about not posting as much (lovely pictures of Ginny, by the by), I scratched my head at why you were not at least eating. My heart broke a little that day...but you have made me whole again.

Read this in a sad tone versus a snippy tone, okay? Maybe you don't know how it is or will be. I love them dearly but this is still not a good situation.
I understand that...I really do. I'm just saying there are worse things in the world than having a pile of affectionate nieces around to jump on you.

Certainly.

I don't expect a single person on this board -well, maybe Syphon- to understand why this whole thing might be problematic, so I'm going to just drop it now. :)

if you google my screen name on the other hand....you have to dig down 6 pages to find a result that *isn't* me: "Index of /taliesin"

Wow. You travel around the world? That's so cool.

Heh, with my searh I was just refering to my drawing I did for the Arthritis Walk calendar last year. They posted it really tiny, though, so it doesn't look too good on screen...

And a file from my middle school pops up for some reason...

On topic: I love that I won last year's contest!

Congratz on that one, ^Peter.

I love Dreamwidth, with some disagreements.

And Escher's paintings, no objections.

The heat, in moderation.

I was outside in my yard, just standing there, wearing shorts and letting the heat wrap around my legs and it felt pretty much as good as a load of towels do fresh from the dryer on a cold day. (And then the top of my head got so hot I swear I could have cooked an egg on it, so I went inside.)

*double*

I love having good dreams, given how common nightmares are for me. In one from last night, I got to cuddle with this one guy and I woke up feeling better for having done it in the dream. (I should note, this could easily have been in the hate thread if I woke up and felt upset that it was only a dream.) If I knew I'd go back to that part of the dream, I'd be sleeping again.

I love perfume bottles. I love them even more if they have stuff inside and it isn't too strong or terrible smelling.

I love the peace and quiet that is a result of my nieces being at church with my brother, sister-in-law, and nephews.

I love this. Kinda reminds me of Fred (penguins), kinda reminds me of Kirsten (bring it, from DY thread), kinda reminds me of Kelly (who I think I remember liking Bring It On).

Conceptual photography series done right:

http://www.themorningnews.org/archives/ ... ive_study/

reminds me of a series from my advanced photo class where the photographer used a large format camera with a 20 ft long cable release and let her girls choose when and how to take a picture of themselves naked, ideally facing the camera and neutral, but when and how they wished rather than the photographer. Then she printed them out lifesize. took up an entire wall, and was very impressive.

When my 7 year old 20 pound cat acts like a little kitten.

Most notably:

Hopping up on my lap and kneading my legs when I'm on the computer while purring madly, which he has done ever since I first got him.

and, my real favorite,

Chasing his tail while on top of the toilet tank. Especially since he practically takes up the whole surface area. It's funny. He only does it now and then, but it's awesome when he does.

Our toaster has three levels: cancel, dark, and pop-tarts. I don't even eat pop-tarts, but I just like that it's a setting.

Altermeta is not dead! Thought it's looking like a twice-a-year update schedule.

Reseating/reconnecting the main fan and heat sink in my laptop lowered the gpu temp by 20 degrees! Freaking 20! I may wait a while before replacing it now...

No, duh. I meant reruns.

Toon Disney was changed to Disney XD over the new year, and it shows Even Stevens some times. I just figure out exactly when some times is.

There is nothing I could do to properly express how much I love TODAY!!

Here's why:
*Something work-related that was making me a little anxious has been resolved.

*I was given a galley proof of Catching Fire, the sequel to Hunger Games, so now I can read it 3 months before it's published. (And it's most excellent; I'm 2/3 through it.)

*I got a package of freaking cookies(!!) from Adam and an even more awesome note (seriously) that I may have to frame part of for inspiration on days I get stressed/overwhelmed. Very cool surprise and personal mail is always fun.

*I got to talk to Goat and Brat, too, and that's almost always a good time.

The trailer for The Time Traveler's Wife.

It's obviously based on the book, which I picked up in a used bookstore in Wicker Park (Chicago), the book takes place around/in Chicago, the actual story broke my heart into a million pieces (I consider this a success on the author's part) and I'm excited to see the movie version, and they used a Lifehouse song. August will be here in no time, too.

Watching the thunder storms roll across the fields last night. The smell of fresh cut hay, Sleeping out with Julie on the edge of the field, just in the trees, watching the sky and the kritters and talking till twilight. The misty sleepy feeling when you wake up after a short sleep, and everything is so quiet, new , worth getting up and living through. 8)

Wow was that me! I gotta get some java!

Dir en grey. (Yeah. Too. Just because Kyo's voice is unbeatable. :P)

Discworld. (I'd so much move there if it were an actual place.)

Final Fantasy series as a whole (Old pixels are love. FF13 is Cain't Wait For It Released love.)

Watches and clocks of all kind (I like watching them and thinking about how otherwise could time be measured)

School (at least a little bit.)

Education (more than by a little.)

Little kids (Cuteness and awesomness making my day. And also some ideas to ponder on, with watching kids' logic. Sometimes so poetic and all.)

Bubbles

The fact that my cat's penchant for chasing his tail on top of the toilet tank has evolved into a daily ritual. (I have a weird cat.)

Talking on the phone with my mother.

Getting 90% on the practice ethics exam without even studying -- that's one area I don't have to worry about studying for on the EPPP!

Hamburgers my boyfriend makes on the grill.

Marshmallows. Toasted, plain, heated in the microwave, added to yogurt or cereal, chocolate covered -- I love 'em.

My stuffed tigers.
