I put away ALL the laundry!

I'm ignoring the fact that the dirty laundry basket is completely full and will probably be clean and ready to put away by the time I get home tomorrow.

But right now, ALL the clean laundry is put away!!!
That's one I understand! In fact, my triumph this week was doing laundry before it was up to 7 giant loads (aka, waiting until there are no clothes left). If I do 4-5 small loads once a week, life is so much more manageable.

I finally sent off a months overdue envelope.

I also made myself go out for a walk even though I didn't want to.

We folded laundry tonight! Just in time for the load in the dryer to come out and start a new pile!

Dear peas, but trying to keep entropy at bay is exhausting!

I (yes I) cleaned the kitchen.

Brian will be gone all day long for the next 3 days, what with work, 2 OT shifts and the dentist, so I put my morning energy to use and I cleaned the kitchen.

The apartment was more or less presentable when my SIL et al arrived! Kitchen floor scrubbed and everything! As long as no one goes in the bedroom, we should be okay!

I cleaned today. The chaos is far from solved, but the floor is tidy and vacuumed, toys tucked away, laundry not folded but in a basket waiting, dishes away... It's hard to describe the relief I feel. Tidiness always goes to pot on the eve of sending something to my supervisors, but it's so, so much worse with a toddler making ten messes for every one I clean up. My brain feels cleaner now, too.

Edit: And now the massive recipe scan project from the library books is done, and I can return them!

I cleaned today....My brain feels cleaner now, too.
I am convinced there is a correlation between the cleanliness of my surroundings and my mental health. The more clutter and mess I'm surrounded by, the more prone to anxiety and depression I tend to be.

For many people this is a feedback: mess makes them feel worse about themselves, and feeling worse there is less will strength to clean up. That happens to my best friend x_x
So, clean up when there's still very little mess!

I didn't read any of the other posts so I apologize if this doesn't fit here but its definitely a Personal Triumph that I think about 2 people that I know in real life can understand. I've been playing a college basketball game online for over 10 real years now. The seasons are about two months long, so you do the math. And I just won my first championship :D

We just bought season tickets to the theater in Charlotte.

The 2012-2013 season includes: Jekyll & Hyde, Les Mis, Lion King and Wicked. There's also Sister Act, War Horse and Traces (apparently, an acrobatics/musical demonstration?)

I am super excited!

I made an important phone call. And KEPT CALLING, despite being continually diverted to voice mail, various phone trees, and being put on hold for half an hour of "your call is important to us" and then 15 minutes of a loud, high-pitched beeping rendition of "Love Me Tender."

And, turns out, it is a damn good thing I persisted.

Again? Didn't you just get one?

This is not a bad thing, though; I'm actually happy for you, even. Congratulations!

Yeah. Back in August.

But now I'm the director of two departments.

Despite being almost-sick for most of this week, I walked 43 miles over the past 7 days.

Finally, after pretty much all 8 months of living here, I made it to the Rookery.

After a month, I finally finished writing a letter. I almost convinced myself I'd never be able to finish, which is weird, since I so badly wanted to finish and I loved the one that came before it.

At the last of the 3 quarts of soup that were stored in my fridge (plus the quart eaten over the weekend)! Freezer soup should last a while and I can eat it at a more reasonable pace.

Two things:

-I successfully used by ID to purchase alcohol. Even though I'm 21, I was dead sure the cashier was just going to refuse on account that I look so young.

-I got a job offer making 21$/hr! And I have my final interview tomorrow with IBM!

Grocery shopping is done, dishes are done (both pre- and post-cooking sets) and a dish that will feed me for a few days is in the oven. I feel accomplished.

Seriously...I'm with you on feeling accomplished. Hate it when ive spent my whole day off cleaning and doing laundry...then husband walks in and looks around...says nothing... But I can tell he thinks "what's she DONE all day?" and then the days he DOES notice its like "the house looks good, was Internet down for a while?" :?
