YES. Phendrana Drifts? Yes please. Such an awesome trilogy. I'm really hoping Other M does it justice, mostly because that would be great, but also because I've pre-ordered it.I have the entire of the Prime series' soundtrack on my iPod, and I must say that the remixed version of the Lower Norfair theme is indeed very good.
I now realize that the only games I've ever pre-ordered have Samus in them: Brawl, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Other M. The first two disappointed.
Anyway, back on-topic: YESSSSSSS, the Prime soundtrack!

You didn't like the Prime trilogy? I thought them all better than Fusion, at least.
On topic, the music in Sherlock was very good. Have to see if that is released...

Woah, I meant the first two didn't disappoint. I love the trilogy. It's one of my favorite things that I own. Its shiny metal box is quite fetching.
Sadly, Yamoto isn't doing the music, it's some guy who's pretty much only done anime soundtracks. Hmm, nothing too interesting... oh, Macross Zero, the prequel OVA to SDFM, and one of the Kamen Rider movies. Interesting.

Oh - you have the Trilogy trilogy. I just have the separate games. But I would agree, certainly among the best that I own.
As to the music, maybe Nintendo will do what they do with Mario - anyone who writes music for Mario games has to have classes from Kenji Kondo (who wrote the original) so they can do it right.
Half of my music library is soundtracks - from Metroid to Halo to Half-Life to Firefly to Doctor Who. My iPod is interesting, to say the least.

"Pump It" by Black-Eyed Peas is my new favorite song. Makes me dance, gives me energy. Am playing it repeatedly on my drives to work. So, here's me, doctoral candidate, driving along to my very serious job helping humanity, singing enthusiastically, "P to the E then the A to the S, woman, way you shake your ass! Shake it shake it shake it girl..."
Yeah.
Yeah.

Lupe Fiasco is in fact one of the deepest rappers I've ever heard.
I must confess though, most of his double/triple entendres and allusions and puns go straight over my head till I look up the lyrics.
For example, I can't believe I missed
"Well, I heard(herd) like a group of cows
that all your enemies want to shoot you down"

That makes me miss my cat, Ichabod, who we got when I was 15. Yes, I know Ichabod is a funny name for a cat, but it suited him, somehow. What's quite funny is that about three years after we got him, my family moved to a town named Crane, which means the cat is now Ichabod of Crane.

Getting back to the music confessions, I listened to Katy Perry and enjoyed it.
Of course, then I listened to the Los Colorados cover of Hot n Cold and didn't feel guilty anymore.

"Mean" by Taylor Swift.
I have a lot of strong, conflicting thoughts about her. Regardless, this is arguably her most Country song and I haaaaaaaaaaaate country.
But I am OBSESSED with this song.

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I've been laying in bed, listening to the 'N Sync Christmas album. I vividly remember being in my living room at 6 in the morning when I was in high school, giggling and watching them perform "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" on one of the morning shows. My mom woke up shortly thereafter for work and I was like, "Oh, no, I don't like boys, boys are gross, I just like their music a lot...' as if she didn't know I was lying and as if she really cared that I did/do like boys.
So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways, all my underdogs.

Definitely not. It's a Beiber original, through and through.
Is this the music confessions thread? Okay, I loved Brittany Murphy's take on "Somebody to Love," for Happy Feet, and would go so far as to say I like it better than Queen's. Probably because I've heard it more her way and so it became the Default version for me. *gasp* and blasphemy.

I actually really like this song from Ernest Goes to Camp. Who knew Jim Varney could do such a wistful, genuine song? I mean, sure, it's played over the visuals of 80s pre-teen punks, but it's really sad even despite that!

I've kind of fallen in love with One Direction and I don't quite know why. They're like a boy band of British Biebers...

I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

Re: Music Confessions
Petra-Kim posted this video on FB a week or two ago and I've been addicted to that one in particular and to trying to find one I feel is better. I think it is insanely adorable to watch a group of male athletes dancing and lip-synching to this song; I'm not so enamored with the female versions.

Alea, I finally got a chance to watch that link, and it's hilarious. The second guy from the left in the front row is ROCKING OUT. I love it.
