Do I need to say which clue is what? Posting the url is easier... should be obvious what is what: h tee tee pee colon slash slash www .philoticweb.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=948

Now for that question.... hmm when was the kitty hawk flight? :D Hehe, no, hmm. I'll say September twenty-... fourth? 2006. The first digit of the day should clearly count separately. Unless I'm wrong, in which case it clearly should not.

So it was the Birthdays thread. The reboot date was 26th September 2006. The message that was posted was "-OSC`s Draft of the script is finished, and would clock in around 2 hours and 15-20 minutes. Peter is in this draft, but in a very minor role. The events in Battle School are condensed into one year`s time. The Adults are keeping watch on both Ender and Bean, trying to decide which of them will be the One."

The one that just ended, yeah, most frustrating thing ever. Not my favorite but that was actually the first one I fleshed out when this started, so I felt like I had to do it.

Anyhow, Jan was not only the first to get the exact wording on the bonus, she cracked me the hell up by putting it three times, just the way it was on the homepage. I'm trying to get to bed here but if you're curious as to what our homepage looked like on this board -we really did have one- take a look in the FAQ in the Foyer, page 2. There are a bunch of screen captures; one is the homepage. You could have also used Wayback.

Rei, I believe "Don't Panic" is for the downtime at Hatrack but that also gave me a chuckle.

It's too hard to translate all this nonsense, so I just did edited the picture. Linky.

(I drew all the pictures on a printed version of the card, too, so if anybody wants to see my absolutely terrible sketches, I'll probably scan it and put it up later.)

*grumble* I didn't see it! I don't really remember, but is it something from Final Fantasy? I seem to remember a bunch of newbies saying that's what it was from, though I always thought it looked like some guy who fell on his face.

That took so long to type that it had BETTER be right. Plus, it took me two tries to solve it, due to mixing up where two emoticons went.

However, I am so thankful for a contest that doesn't really require any P-Web knowledge.

Bonus: It's the Fighter sprite from the original Final Fantasy/8-Bit Theater, of course!

I was sort of confused about how to say what I put in each square, so I just remade the board. I hope that's okay! I'd embed it, but posting a link is more like invisitexting it..

I emailed my jpg because I didn't want to take the time to link it. maybe tomorrow when it's not nearly 2am

and I just redid the jpg because trying to just read/figure out the text instructions hurt my head.

I also solved it by converting it to numbers, drawing it on a sheet of paper with the numbers and then solving it, my brain rebelled at attempting to solve sudoku with pictures, then I made the jpg in photoshop. Lots of apple+shift+E for me. :-p

I have no idea on the bonus, I think I missed that conversation.

I converted it to numbers as well, but I did it in a spreadsheet, so I just used the "find and replace" function :P

Now if only there were a monotype font I could use to just paste it into here and still have it invisible...

And the "doh!" icon comes from whenever Fighter, a character from 8-bit theatre, falls or stumbles. The graphic itself comes from the "death" frame of the Fighter job in Final Fantasy 1.

Caspian: "Not noob to rhyme with boob, newbie to rhyme with boobie" (the actual signature is more grammatically correct, but those are the words in the pic) - first signature.

"Divide by cucumber error. Please reinstall universe and reboot." - second signature; I think it was starlooker's.

"The enemy's fly is down." - Sixth signature, belonged to Dr. Mobius (if I recall correctly).

"A signature so short it's slim" - Seventh (final) signature, belongs (belonged? haven't seen the username around in a while) to Slim, of course.

Not really sure here, i am doubting among some... ok let's go with
-Hiveking, your late night-bus driver.

"Come a little closer. I promise not to eat you."
-JL, newbie eater.

"Don't ask me, i'm just a girl."
-Jebus's Stacy Malibu sock.

2. Divide by cucumber error. Please reinstall universe and reboot. (Yours truly)
3. I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers. (Steve)

5. Don't ask me, I'm just a girl. (Violet)
6. The enemy's fly is down. (Dr. Mobius)
7. A signature so short it's slim. (Slim)

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
