New but Not So Much
Hey everyone, my name is [Heather] Danger and obviously I'm a 'N00b' on this board. I first read Ender's Game 6 years ago and since then I've read it so many times that the spine has no split in two. Bummer.
Speaking series wise I have read all of Ender's Shadow, several times, but have only made it partially through the Ender's Series. Inability to find the particular books and stubbornness in not wanting to order them online are both factors.
Lately I have been scouring the internet for still active groups pertaining to Ender's Game, since other people who have read them as much as I have seem to be ~Mythical~ and damn hard to find. An almost abandoned group on Livejournal lead me here, and so I'm hoping that there are people still bouncing around in this battle room.
Anyway, I'll just begin to poke around here, hope I don't step on any toes or break any rules. Ha.

Welcome to Pweb, HD. While we're not as active as we once were in the Ender discussions (this board has been around for nearly a decade in one form or another; that's a lot of time to talk about one book), it's certainly not dead and it's always fun to hear about others' thoughts and feelings about the Enderverse.
If you're wanting to get to know the community once you've poked around the Ender-specific area, pop into Milagre and basically just jump in.

Se paciente y duro; algún día este dolor te será útil.

Hello! I wondered if you'd migrate over. Welcome to Pweb. (That was me on lj, just in case you didn't realise.)

It looks like the place is very alive indeed, good news for me!
I will most definitely jump into things at The Battle Room and Milagre.
@Eaquae Legit Thanks for the referral! Odds are this place would have been lost in the depths of Google upon searching for it.
@Jebus Normalcy is impossible to come by on the internet so what on Earth lead you to believe that I am in the least bit normal? Ha.

Hey, who cares about 12 year olds? And hey, this 15 year old thinks she's already proved something. I realized I've been around over a year now. So no more making fun of me as the newbie, just as the ignorant 15 year old.
Welcome to PWeb, HD. Stick around. Prove some stuff. Get to know us a bit. Hopefully, we'll get a little more active.
Hmmm, didn't sound like such a happy greeting. I'll add a smiley face. Stick around.

Age doesn't really matter so much. It's the internets. Act older, you ARE older for all intents and purposes.
It seems a bit cliche, but Locke and Demosthenes, anyone? If you don't want to be "that 12 year old", then... don't be?

This seems to have become an unintentional debate on age versus maturity.
Ill just retract my child bashing and say I support mature children, but not the stupid ones. As for Tweens, as long as they don't have the mentality of 'I Know Everything' they see acceptable, some more so.
Now let's move on from this discussion ja? It seems rather pointless to be debating age on an Ender's Game forum. I mean, c'mon. Irony.
