Did you all have a fun Mar10 day?
(okay, I got nothing else; I just thought the idea of this was funny)
Happy Mar10 day!

I had a similar reaction, only I thought he meant "Happy Martin Day" and that was even after seeing Mario.Huh. And I thought you meant "Happy Martian Day"
Mar10->Mar ten->Martin.
Then it was like, "Who the hell is Martin? Did Mario change his name?...Oh. Mario."
I am that old (enough) person who tries to be hip and never quite pulls it off. Darn computer-twisted language.

Though admittedly, the first thing I thought when I saw Happy Mar(#) was Pi Day. MIT admission decisions come out March 14 at 1:59 PM!
But yay Mario! Super Mario Brothers/Duck Hunt combo pack for the Super Nintendo was the first video game I ever played.

Wrong: Pi is 3.14159263........infinity (I hope I remembered correctly after the 9); there's no zero after the first '4', so it's more accurate to publish the decisions at 1:59 PM than at 01:59 AM.Well, that's dumb. They should come out at 0159. The admittees are largely probably up at that hour anyway...MIT admission decisions come out March 14 at 1:59 PM!
Though yes, the admittees are largely probably up by that point.
Also: MIT's admission decisions publishing policy FTW!

You do realize that this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, right?Wrong: Pi is 3.14159263........infinity (I hope I remembered correctly after the 9); there's no zero after the first '4', so it's more accurate to publish the decisions at 1:59 PM than at 01:59 AM.

Why is it "more accurate" to publish the decisions at 01:59 PM (13:59) than 01:59 AM?
Step softly; a dream lies buried here.

Technically, he said it makes more sense to publish at 1:59 PM than 01:59 AM. Makes sense to me: it would also be more logical to publish at 1:59 AM than at 01:59 AM, by that reasoning. You do realize that this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, right?

But I don't buy that; the leading 0 doesn't need to be there, it's just a notational convention. One (1) hour and fifty-nine (59) minutes after midnight, 159, is when it should be.

I was referring to the zero before the '1' (and-somewhat- trying to be a smartass; sorry 'bout that); if there's no '0', then both the answers are logical.
Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!
