New arrival for Steph and Eggbalancer
It's a girl! Kinley Rae was born at 10:33 on Monday, March 8 in Loveland, CO by planned C section. She weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz and was 20 inches long. Our sons, Tyler (4 1/2) and Brayden (2 1/2) are so excited to have a little sister. They've tried to give her everything from rubber duckies to crackers to ice chips. Steph is doing well- much smoother than last time- and Brian is already buying her things.
For those of you who remember our name poll, we did take your advice under consideration. Brian will likely nickname her MacKinley (to be said with a Scottish accent), and intends to raise her as a warrior pirate princess.

Thanks, everyone! We are sure enjoying our sweet baby girl. I'm healing well, although I came down with a cold, so that's making things harder. We were supposed to go home today, but Kinley is having some jaundice issues, so we're actually staying an extra day since she has to spend some time on the bili bed. Once we're back home and settled, I'm sure I'll post more details of the birth and some more pictures. In the meantime, every needs to quit posting so much because I'm never going to be able to catch up on everything!

Thanks to all for all the congrats! I am particularly smitten with her. She is so cute and laid back! Besides sleeping and eating, she likes to look around wide-eyed, as well as making cute little squeaking noises. That is why I have nicknamed her (among other things) Squeaker. I will take credit for the cuteness, since Spotts make cute kids. And she got the laid back thing from me. Steph did all the hard work. We will post more pictures soon!

How's the little bug doing, Steph? Mom and baby all okay still? Does she like her awesome bedroom?

EL may try but Rei has just learned that EL and Satya had a fling; surely more people will come out of the woodworks, as Entertainment Knightly will likely pay big bucks for their stories. I don't see any babies in their immediate future without some rehab thrown in the mix first. Oh, a public apology would be cool, too.Watch out, Rei. EL is going to impregnate you.
Se paciente y duro; algún día este dolor te será útil.

She's doing good! She weighs almost 9 lbs these days and is starting to look just a little bit chubby in the face! She's a more content baby than either of my boys were, so that helps me out a lot. We do wish that she would sleep in longer stretches at night and not think that she's starving all the time. How's the little bug doing, Steph? Mom and baby all okay still? As for me, I'm recovering more slowly this time. I had a cold, on top of surgery, so it really slowed me down. I'm feeling better now, but my incision is still sore, so I'm still in maternity pants. I do struggle to keep my milk production high enough for Kinley, so that's a constant stress, but I think we might have things under control. Brian has been WONDERFUL by letting get some extra sleep in the mornings and showering me with attention and massaging at night.
Here's a pic from a week and a half ago:

Updated pic? Pleeeeease? Also, are you feel better? I hope so, and that everything's at a normal level of newborn-chaos.

Your wish is my command!
Swimming!!!
Blessing Day (she's wearing the same dress I wore when I was blessed. My grandma made it.)
Looking adorable in her snow suit. (Thank goodness it snowed in May so that she could wear it!)
A perfect outfit for a trip to the zoo.
First camping trip. (Just last weekend)
Thanks for checking on me, Ali. I'm actually feeling really great. She's such a happy baby compared to my boys and that makes life a lot easier. Emotionally, I haven't been hit with the same depression I was for the last 2. Physically, I still need to lose about 15 lbs to get back to prepregnancy weight, and I'm hoping to go another 10 lbs below that. I'm starving all the time while nursing so I haven't been making progress as fast as I would like. Maybe once she starts sleeping better and I'm getting more rest, I'll have more energy to be physically active.
She'll be 3 months old next week. I can't believe how fast it's gone. She's gaining weight well (80th%!) which means that she's cutely chubby and it also means that my milk production is holding strong. That is such a great blessing to me as that has been the biggest struggle with my babies in the past. She loves to talk and coo a lot right now. She'll stop in the middle of a feeding to look up at me to smile and talk. It's pretty adorable. We love having her in our family!!

Awwww! I'd forgotten how tiny a 3 month old is! She's adorable! I love the snowsuit especially, and the "worried brow" look she's doing in the camping pic... well, that's like my favourite baby expression ever. (Except for smiles, maybe. )
Glad to hear you're doing better! A happy, non-fussy baby is always a blessing, and I'm so glad to hear about the depression. Hooray! I'll be praying you both continue to be healthy and happy!
