I've seen the A-Team trailer (movie looks stupider that sin) twice now and every time the announcer voice gets to If You Have a Problem, I want to finish it with "Yo, I'll solve it."

Which makes me kick myself in the butt for not purchasing this pin I saw in a Tucson bookstore two years ago; it was a calculator and it said "If you have a problem, yo, I'll solve it."

Who makes a superhero's costume?

I guess some have a do-it-yourself approach like Iron Man and maybe Batman, but what about the others? Is there a tailor out there who made Peter Parker's Spidey suit and has to patch it up when it's damaged in fights?

Superman's costume is made from the blankets that surrounded him as a baby and are therefore impervious, like him.

Or supposedly - there seem to be quite a few versions where he rips it.

In recent comics, Tony Stark makes Spider-man's costumes for him, but that's pretty lame.

Hulk has amazing purple shorts that never rip - he must spend a fortune on Bruce Banner's clothes, though.

Wonder Woman's clothes are made by the gods.

Flash's suit comes with the job and supposedly never rips.

Who else? ...
All of Batman's people (Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing etc) are funded by Bruce Wayne. Alfred does much of the sewing.

Green Arrow is rich and has a butler (whose name escapes me) who probably makes his clothes as well. We'll say Black Canary is helped by him as well.

Green Lanturn's costume is made by the core, and really, all he needs is willpower, as long as he never get jaundiced (will any of you get that joke?).

And of course, the Xmen are all funded by Prof. X.

Whew. That was fun to answer.

Didn't Spidey stop being Stark's lackey during the civil war arc? I'm pretty sure he's back to making his own costumes. The so-called Iron-spider costume was indeed lame.

Different information about Psychology I have learned off the top of my head(will be using this to add some muscle memory about psychology to my body)
Different perspectives of psychology off the top of my head:

Humanist - Actions/decisions influenced/guided by spiritual, physiological, and emotional needs

Psychoanalytical(apparently referred to as psychodynamic sometimes)- Actions and decisions are subconciously influenced.

Biopsychological- Actions and decisions influenced by genes, hormones, and neurotransmitters

Evolutionary- Actions and behaviors are/can be evolutionary traits passed down, through natural selection.

Cognitive?- Actions and behaviors are influenced by how we interpret the world - as in that specific action, and it's outcome and meaning.

Social/multicultural- How actions and behaviors are related to the culture we grow up in. What they mean in that context.

Common sense is bad to use.

Despite the fact that my teacher says there hasn't been a study on it, (according to book) research has shown that "birds of a feather flock togethor". Meaning, most relationships dont follow the opposites attract cliche.

Hindsight bias- a.k.a. "I knew that". *insert bs justification* Wrong if you can find opposing justifications for whatever conclusion.

Psychology grew from roots of philosophy and biology primarily.

Earlier Psychology was study of the mind. Now it's more study of different behaviors.

So, how's that AP psych class going for you?

Going good, I guess. I mean, I've only had it for two days. So I can't really say.
We haven't really gone over that much information yet, mostly it's been playing student "interaction" games and going over class procedures.

However, I decided to pop open my Psych book, and actually study independently, for the first time(I mean, I've never done that with any other textbooks. LOL the Chem one puts me directly to sleep). And I found it all to be really interesting.
In fact, enough for me to stay up later than usual - past my bed time, reading it.

For example, I had no clue that information read/"encoded" in the hour before you go to sleep or lose consciousness any other way, is the best retained/"processed".
Fascinating! I'm putting blind faith in this, and already changing my study method/schedule.(that is, to actually studying daily at all)

yeah, except it's more freedom for corporations to trample, drown, maim, slaughter and suppress by any and all $ means necessary the voice of an actual human.

Too bad those five idiots on the supreme court are somehow convinced that corporation=human.

There is a fundamental inequality between the spending capability of a corporation worth hundreds of billions or trillions versus an individual worth only thousands or a few millions. Saying it's okay for a corporation to pour a 10,000 million dollars into an election, unrestrained, is a lot different from an individual pouring an unrestrained 10,000 dollars into an election.

That the justices can't distinguish that means they're so f****** inept they should all be removed from the bench.

it will probably result in the biggest suppression of free speech (of individuals and humans whose free speech is not as protected as the speech of corporations) in the last hundred years, and is a major victory for the republicans, the party of racists, homophobes, and giant corporations, now the racists/homophobes have a lot more money power added to their side to balance out the fact that many of them are dying off every year, and their influence was otherwise shrinking in the overall.
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

My cat has a fetish for many things including boxes, feet, faucets, and shoes. Most interesting of all to me is Apple products involving cords.

She has decided to bite through two iPod/usb links, the headphones that came with my iPod, a MacBook Pro charger and was just now attempting to make her third usb/iPod link kill. All other cords in the house are safe. =[

Our cat must not be mac-specific...she chewed through the white Wii cord the first day we brought it home. Fortunately, my husband was able to splice it back together.

That sounds more like my little sister. Within the first two weeks we got our Wii, she had chewed through the outer cover on the nunchuk wires. We had to cover them with white electrical tape.

It just occurred to me that in a little less than a year, I'll have been on the "new" site just as long as I had been on Pweb 2.0. (2002-2006 vs. 2006-2010).

And then I started freaking out -- someone please reassure me this one will never, ever crash?

I wish I was an amazing artist and had a little brother (or possibly son, I'm not sure) who wanted to write stories about a cop with an axe named Axecop so that I could make comics of his stories, as seen at http://axecop.com/.
