I'm going to a Shock game in Spokane with some friends friday , I've never been to one before . I can't fathom playing football on such a small field!

Villanova in the final four? I think it is going to happen.
That's right I called it. But man did they make it tough on the fans. I mean what the hell was that 80 foot pass with about 20 seconds left when you have timeouts! They really could have blown that game when they had it in the bag. But they got through. I never had a chance to watch a final four while actually rooting for a team I like. Hell of a year for Philadelphia sports so far *grumbles*eagles*grumbles*. UNC is going to be tough but it should be a fun game to watch.

Harry Kalas died today. It is a very sad day in Philadelphia and the sports world. He was one of the best and a great guy to boot. Not only did he announce for the Phillies, he also was the voice of NFL films and puppy bowl.(YES! Freakin' Puppy Bowl). I don't know how to watch baseball without listening to Harry. I am very happy that he got to call one final world championship. My thoughts go out to his family.

Phillies fever is back in full effect in Philadelphia. They have won 9 games in a row. They have a 6.5 game lead in the division and are up by 9 games on the hated Mets. All things are looking good. However, they still need to get Roy Halladay. It has to happen for them to have a legit chance at repeating. If they get him, I think the Phils roll through the NL. Here's hoping, I'll either be very happy or very sad in 10 days.

Yeah I have been keeping an eye on the M's. Not really watching them, because it is hard watch west coast games from the east coast when I have to be in work so early. But I have been following what they are doing in the standings, for a couple of reasons.

1) You seem like the only person to want to talk baseball, so I wanted to keep up on your team.

2) The Phils were possibly talking about trading for Bedard if they couldn't get Halliday. But that doesn't seem likely with them being in the thick of it out west.

3) Bedard is on my fantasy team.

But the M's are doing exactly what I thought they could do. I knew if their pitching staff could pitch like they are capable of, then they would have a chance. It will be interesting to see what teams do with the trade deadline approaching. I gotta believe the M's would love to add a bat.

I've been watching your Phillies too , I think they look very good! , hoping they keep it up. Trades? I'd be suprised if it goes through now but you bet they could use another good hitter. EP are you into any local minor team action ? We have the Spokane Indians and it's a fun diversion if its not too hot out

I am late as hell, but seeing as no one else has done it, I'm officially putting P-Web on notice that the University of North Carolina Tar Heels are the Champions of the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Just in case, you all hadn't, y'know, heard.

Uhhh...The Eagles signed Michael Vick. I like it from a football stand point and I'm all about given people second chances, but did my favorite team have to sign him. There is so much non sense being spouted on both sides of this fence. It's ridiculous.

In better news, Cliff Lee = Awesome!

@Locke Yeah I am apparently going to the Cal/USC game now, it should be a decent game. Hopefully better than 2007's, which was a soaking wet slip & slide.

@buckshot Still awesome. I've only been in WA 2 months so I haven't really picked sides.

Glad to see the Twins are making the Yankees work for it tonight (0-0, bottom of the 4th). While I fully expect -- and maybe even want -- the Yankees to win the series, I'd like it not to be a complete blowout if that's possible.

In other news, my fiance and I tried to watch the Raiders-Giants game today. However, at half-time, the network decided nobody could possibly be watching that travesty and switched the game. I find that flippin hilarious. I am learning to like football -- I am also learning how really, really awful the Raiders are. At least this season. Damn you, Jamarcus Russell.

I have learned over the last three weeks or so that I like the Bengals and the Vikings.

Not me! I'm excited the Broncos are 5-0!!!! Holy Cow, I didn't see that coming this summer. But I'm not going to complain!

Like, he would half-joke that the Broncos won the superbowl, even when they weren't playing.

Otherwise, I have nothing against the Broncos, or other Broncos fans.

(And my boyfriend now is a huge, though not obnoxious, Pats fan.)

Well, so much for my dream of the Twins winning a game.

I kept telling them not to hit it to Jeter. But did they listen? NOOooooo. Yeesh.

*double post*

AWESOME picture of the kitty in the jersey. Donny keeps wanting to get Raiders jerseys for our kitties, which I do think would be darling. They like to sit with him when he's watching TV so there would be some awesome photo ops. If they'd put up with it.

Phillies are up 2-1 on the Rockies.

Eagles are 3-1.

Flyers are off to a decent start.

Life as a Philadelphia sports fan is good right now.

However, game 3 ending at 2:15 am eastern time = not good.

The Raiders beat the Eagles (?!?!?!)

I think this is karma for having Michael Vick on their team. Humiliation supreme -- losing to Oakland.

I watched all 13 innings of the Yankees/Angels game last night. Well, I fell asleep in whatever inning it was that the Angels scored their third run (the 11th, I believe). Woke up going, "They're ahead? WTF?" Thanks to A-Rod, we were back to tied quickly. Go Yankees! Two down, two to go.
