Who's Your Favourite Character?

Postby Lell » Thu May 14, 2009 10:36 pm

My favourite charatcer is Dink, because I just like his attitude and the way he was especially in Chapter 8 and didn't mind really about Ender joining the Rat Army.

What about you guys??

I like Peter because his character developes the most throughout the series. Plus he has one of the most imperfect personality making him human and more easy to relate to.

I also like Olhado, because his whole family speech in Xenocide.

Bean and Ender are on my favorite list, too.

My fav Enderverse Characters Sorry if the list is a bit long.
1)Bean (Little Bean in ES and SotH)
2)Ender (In all the books)
3)Peter (In the Speaker Series. He's such an ass.)
4)Petra
5)Miro
6)Dink
7)Nikolai (He was so sweet being Bean's only real friend and all.)
8)Suriyawong
9)Wang-mu
10)Young Val (Not when she was all sweet and everything after Ender created her outside. I mean when she and Miro were fighting and in EiE)
You musn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.

Bean and Ender are tied, but ultimately Petra's my favorite.

Dink, Peter, Ender, Olhado, Miro--Not necessarily in that order, though

I would have to say a tie between Jane and Suriyawong. Its pretty awesome that Jane is a computer and can get any information she needs in less then a second. I really like the way Suri tricked Achilles. I just love the part when he loans Achilles a knife.

Not in really any order. Ender, Bean, Jane, Peter, Ender/Peter.

But I havnt read the shadow series or Enders Game in a while, so I dont remember much of the characters in those.

Having just finished CotM, I have this huge urge to figure out what happens to Peter now and the Descolardes or however you say that. Right now, I find him the most intriguing character. Id love to read/write the rest of his life.

Peter & Petra, but mostly independently. I never was much of a fan of Ender until I re-read the series recently, but he has definitely grown on me as a character.

Ender, Peter, Bean, Alai, Suriyawong, Petra, Virlomi, Mazer, Carn Carby, Olhado, Miro, Wang-Mu, Jane, Novinha, Rooter, Human, Planter & The Hive Queen.

And a nod of recognition to Pol Slattery & William Bee, for their very modest actions after being defeated, outnumbering Dragon Army 2 to 1.

my favorite would have to be of course Ender! but Bean is a close second.

I like John Paul Wiggin, in Polish Boy and Teacher's Pest and in the Shadow series. I also really liked the characters of Aimaina Hikari and Grace Drinker. They might have only been minor characters but their contributions to what is ultimately my favourite book, Children of the Mind are intrinsic to the overall success of the series closer.

I agree with Megxers. Petra is funny and interesting and strong and soo lovable. And Peter has that amazing sense of humor. I don't believe he was ever evil. He has a good heart.

My favorite character is Ender Wiggin. I just seem to like the characterization of him, and also because he actually cares for people (in the Enderverse, of course) and felt tremendous guilt that I could sentimentalize with. It also led to major influences (crazy, right?) on my life. Man, to think if school didn't make me read this book this school year, I don't know where I'd be right now.

Ender, Jane, Novinha.
wow? really?! someone out there actually valued Novinha as a character...i never believed that Ender actually loved her. In my opinion, he saw her as a 'project.' Novinha was someone Ender wanted to fix mentally and emotionally.

I liked Virlomi. In Shadow Puppets, the way she causes an uprising in India on the basis of stone walls was truly masterful!

Secondly, Alessandra was interesting, however short-lived her character role was in Ender in Exile.

Petra in Shadow of the Hegemon she behaved so quick-witted. Later in Shadow puppets, i felt that she became too subdued, bean's love made her soft.
