Name Change?

I have been reading through the Ender books in roughly chronological order and was wondering if anyone knew what the significance of the name change of Poke/Petra to Cincinnatus in Ender in Exile was.

Hey! That's what I had noticed, too!

I read OSC's note for EIE and from what I gathered, EIE was based on his original idea/concept for EG. So, I'm guessing it's safe to believe that Cincinnatus and Petra are the same.

Cincinnatus is the name of one of Bean and Petra's children.

I think you are misunderstanding the context of what is said here, as I have been reading the series myself lately, Bean says in the note to Petra "I will call the Andrew with me Ender, because that's what we called him when he was born. The Bella with me I will Carlotta. We will call the petra that is with you Poke, becase you are the only Petra I know, and it might only confuse the children that are with me" or something along those lines. I'm pretty confident that the third child with Bean is never addressed with a name in SotH. Only in Exile is it actually brought up as having a name, Cincinnatus.

Yeah I thought Cincinnatus was random. I didn't hear anybody say that in the shadow series. Plus that name is kinda irrevelant.
