A Day in the Life of lyons24000

Postby lyons24000 » Sun Jun 28, 2009 9:12 pm

Image
I woke up but it seemed that Ashes was still sleepy! We made a pallet the night before to watch TV and I guess he slept there all night.

Image
Checked email, pweb, blog, etc.

Image
I broke from the habit of eating breakfast after elementary school and now have a glass of chocolate milk in the morning

Image
Shaved and brushed my teeth

Image
My teeth are cleaned and my face is as smooth as a baby's bottom! Time to shower!

Image
Time to walk the dogs (yes, there are three)

Image
I decide to wash the dishes while listening to Blue October (Best Band Ever!)

Image
Eating lunch at Sicily's with my aunt and uncle who are visiting from out of town

Image
We ran into some good friends of the family while eating

Image
Got to the Kingdom Hall but the Spanish congregation was still there. We were the first ones from the English who arrived

Image
The Kingdom Hall looks so empty in between meetings

Image
Oh, okay, that's much better

Image
After the meetings we visit. Meet my aunt Dena and my aunt Joetta and my uncle Carlos

Image
When I get home I make a sandwich. We're out of mustard. I eat bread and ham :(

Image
Decide to play Halo 3. I want to beat it again before Halo 3: ODST comes out

Image
My dogs like to sleep in the sun. Guess we keep the house a little cold

Image
Get bored of Halo 3 and decide to read Dune. I'm almost done. It's a GREAT book. Thanks Neo.

Image
Have to get to work to finish some stuff I didn't get to on Friday, Ugh!

Image
But the layout of the office is really nice

Image
And the scenery is real nice, too.

Image
Couldn't get it all in on one shot. Nice field. Thank God for flood plains

Image
Why the European look? Some guy with too much money went to Croatia and fell in love with the architecture and decided to bring it home

Image
Driving down the road

Image
Now we're washing the car. I just love the Honda Element

Image
Now we go to Target...

Image
...to get some groceries. Ten items or less, please!

Image
I guess not all graffiti is bad

Image
We decide to get ice cream

Image
It turned out to be very good

Image
Decided to do some bills

Image
And finished the day watching 1984 before bed.I started it the other day and didn't finish it

Image
Just found a picture of my wife I'd never seen taken about four years back. I liked it so much I posted it.

You're welcome :D . I just may re-read it myself this summer.

I can see why, especially the columns and arches inside. What is that, some sort of marble? Stone? I think the material would look better if the two colors were closer together or if the darker parts were patterned differently than the vein look.

You're in...Texas? Wherever you are, the architecture fits the scenery, which is important. If you threw that in the middle of a patch of dirt, it'd be a whole other story.

I assume you're speaking of the interior of the office. If you are, you're way off. It's Styrofoam. The outside is stone.

*sigh* Somehow I'm not surprised. It's still a nice idea and looks nice but that just plain sucks. Do it right or don't do it at all, people.

That picture of all of your dogs is really cool! I love the way they line up. It really looks like it's the same dog three times..

I can guarantee you they are not the same dog. They are all different (very different!) sizes. The one of the left, Ashes, has diabetes. He needs an insulin shot twice a day. Since he got the diabetes he blew up (gained about ten pounds in two months) and got really, really cranky.

Jackie, the one in the middle, has a messed up spine. He cannot gain weight, no matter how much he eats and that is a lot. P.J., the one on the right, is quiet, reserved, and I think he doesn't quite know where he is some of the time. He's the father of the other two. They are all about eleven years old now.

Holy wow, everyone has the coolest looking locales. I love the shots of the field and your town. Your dogs make me think of those AT&T commercials, too, which is always good for a chuckle.

Darn you, Dune. My friend in the Navy finally just sent me a copy, but it came with a whole box of comic and Pratchett, and, well, I can't read anything else when there's Deadpool/Vimes to be had. So now it sits on my shelf, waiting to be read, and you just reminded me of my guilt. So thanks.

Thanks a lot.

About fifteen years ago, McKinney was just another small town and not visually appealing. About 2001, with an influx of new workers in Dallas, the small town of McKinney blew up. From 2001 to 2006, the population grew from about 16,000 to 100,000 and now over 120,000.

McKinney kept up and expanded (it was the fastest growing city in 2006-2008, I think it was those years) and catered mostly to the upper class and upper middle class. With that it also became very visually appealing. The west side of McKinney is very, very beautiful.

But I'll still always love Austin better!

Holy wow, everyone has the coolest looking locales.
I have sadly moved away from a cool looking locale. I now live in a barren pit of concrete and asphalt.
