*cough* monty python *cough*

I think that the role would be best played by an unknown actor, as well. I think especially with child actors, people easily have preconcieved notions. With a role this complex, I'd want the actor to be as unknown as possible.

What if Miley Cyrus wore a wig? Nobody would recognize her!

Plus, then you'd get the best of both worlds.

I supported the idea of Hiley Cyrus as Petra a long time ago. I'm petty sure she shoud be in anything though, so long as she has no speaking roles. Since Emma Watson and Vanessa Hudgens became legal, I've needed some new underage girls to perv over.

Are you suggesting we just replace the entire cast with underage girls?

Jebus, if you keep asking everyone on pweb if they're from To Catch a Predator, people will start to think you might have a reason to fear that program.

No, I've got nothing to fear from that show, I don't think they go international. Still, it never hurts to be safe.

What about Dakota Fanning for one of the girls? Valentine definitely not, but Petra? Not sure if the physical characteristic match though.. how's Petra supposed to look?

As for the boys, an unknown boy would be the best. Though it's going to be hard to adjust mental!Bean o mental!Peter or mental!Ender to whoever plays it on the movie. Especially because there is almost none physical description on the books

First of all, I thought we were talking about "Ender"

Second, Dakota Panning SHOULD NOT be one of the girls. PERIOD.

I don't see why anyone likes her at all.

Anyway, I definitely think ender should not be played by a famous actor. If he's to famous, it will mess up our's and everyone else's view of him as a character.

That was my two cents.

Remember, no Dakota :!:

The best thing would be to actual try and recruit english speaking kids of the proper ancestries for each role.

Using a child star who has already achieved some fame, IMO, would take away form the movie. The biggest part of why I enjoy the novels so much is the love for the characters and ability of OSC to make them seem to complete. Unknown Actors/Actresses picked specifically for these roles would make me happiest.

Either way I am excited.

Hey, welcome to Pweb (pronounced P-web (you prolly don't know what I'm talking about)) !!!

I totally agree it would take away from the movie. Smart you are.

I'm excited too, but there's nothing new, so don't be expecting anything soon.

Since we're all in agreement that Miley should play Ender, what do you think about Billy Ray playing Mazer? He could even grow his mullet back. That'd be sweet.

Where the heck did you get the "everyone agrees Miley should play Ender" crap?

Though Mazer In Mullet (MIM) would be off the hook.

She's Hannah Montana. Come on, people. Who wouldn't want Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana to play Ender?

Hanny Montanny is pretty awesome *cough* She could shave her head and put on an Ender wig, and she'll be right at home.

Miley Cyrus' voice is too deep to be believable as a nine year old boy. That, and I'd probably start punching every preteen brunette I came across if she got anywhere near the movie.

That said, Ender should be played by Shaheen Jafargholi, since when the movie is finally made as "Battle School Musical", the coordinated dances zero-gravity can at least sound like they weren't run through AutoTune six times before we heard them.
