Problem is, it looks like apart from Wayback, all the old posts and threads will no longer be available. As soon as Ami makes me an admin, though, I'll try and get some of the structure of the forum back into operation.

Seriously, what all is involved in running the forum like you do, Amka? Do I have to know programing and such? If so I don't have the skills, but I do think I have the responsible nature and time commitment to be an "in charge" person.

Waves magic wand. Wand sputters, emits tiny frogs that plop on the the floor and hop away.

Shakes wand, hits it on her leg several times and tries again.

It sputters again, but this time full grown, warty toads squirt through the end of the wand, landing on the floor with a splat and a croak. Only some of them jump into the nearby pond.

Argh!

tap tap tap, far away look...

Finally, Amka pulls out a scrap of chartruse paper and, using the wand, writes on it:

*Jayelle is an Admin and Mod*

It lives!

*looks to the left* Taal, get to work importing the old emoticons. It's not really Pweb until we have Stoned Kermit back.

Then again, maybe I could just be made an Admin so I can add Kermit back in myself. Eh? I'd really rather not have to be a mod, just an admin, so I can play with making a somehow Pweb-esque style sheet for our new, properly functioning software. Zev's the tech guy, I wanna' be the aethstetics guy.

Zev's out of the country serving a Mission, and has been for over a year :)

I'm up for letting you play if Ami is...

So I've noticed. I almost said, "was the tech guy," but I figured someone would bite me for that, too.

It's good to have Pweb back... In some form.

But, you know, I was like 10 posts away from 2000! I was going to throw a party. Thanks a lot, guys.

*edit*
Oh, and my new avatar isn't even working. Grrrr!

*edit 2*
That's better.

Now we can all make snooty comments on how much better things were back in Pweb II.

Frankly, the smileys in the old board were so much better.

Though, if a few members never find their way back, I might be delighted about the change.

I remember back on the old board when a page took a whole 35 posts. Much better, in my opinion.

You know how it used to be called Milagre Town Square? I prefered it that way, what about the rest of you?

thanks, Ami, as always.

Pweb 3.0, huh? wow. what a couple of days.

in any case! i have my first technical problem on the new forum! i can get my avatar sized correctly pixel-wise, but apparently i can't get the file under 6kb. when you tech savvy members climb out of the woodwork, give a girl a hand, would you?

welcome back, everyone!

I made it back to PWEB. Glad to see the place is up and running again.

I would like to be a mod, under either this name or HegemonsAcolyte, but I will leave that to the powers that be.

Anyways, Ami if you need help with anything, the offer I made in my email remains.

Unlike almost everyone else, it seems, while I am perfectly willing to put in some labor to keep the site up if necessary, I am not volunteering for mod status. So y'all have fun with that. :P

And, Jebus? As the URL for the forum has changed, the people you don't want to come back will, likely, be too damn stupid to find their way back.

Thank god.

I just want to say an enormous thank you to Ami for getting the board back and running! I don't think I've ever really known you, but I'm Janelle, and I modded the book forum with EL on the old board.

It looks like we have a lot of requests for mod-dom so I don't want to clog the pool, but I just thought I'd mention that I'd love to help out if it's not too congested already, and then I'll back away slowly and let the rest of y'all fight it out. :)

Am I the only one that thinks giving John mod-power is trouble waiting to happen? John is power-hungry. Right, HA? :P

No hurry, and I'm trying not to push.

I, too, have listened to my Mainland ads, and I know that "Good Things Take Time."
