He's signed on AIM every day but I haven't tried talking to him since January (because inevitably, he quits talking back at some point with no explanation and it's irritating). I'm pretty sure his last or second to last post was him saying 'Goodbye' to Pweb.

This one seems like a bit of a goodbye.

Well, I don't know where in VT you are but I'm in upstate NY and only about 45 minutes away from the VT border. I visit a couple times a year because I love Vermont so much. I went there for my honeymoon. I have a couple of favorite spots - one is the firetower at the top of Okemo Mountain; another is the Moss Glen Falls waterfall in Granville on Rte 100. I even went there for my brief inpatient mental health stay (three years ago)! The Brattleboro Institute was very nice.

Cool I'm one town north of Middlebury, though starting in September I'll be going to college in Burlington/Colchester. I've never been to Moss Glen Falls, but I do know where Granville is. If you're ever here in the summer you should visit Bartlett FallsWell, I don't know where in VT you are but I'm in upstate NY and only about 45 minutes away from the VT border. They're about fifteen minutes from my house, and though you can't tell from the scale of the picture, the falls are about 15' high, and the waters deep enough that you can jump off the cliffs into the river, and the cave behind the waterfall is tall enough to stand in.

That's how I feel, in a way. Then I want people to remember that I'm still here and that I existed and so I post about five times in a day. Then I go on two week lurking periods. I just got over one, in fact. However, I do not know if I am going to continue this. I feel like I'm about to go back into lurker mode.I guess I lurk because I never really find a topic worthwhile enough to post in.

So you aren't too far from Vergennes? My friends used to love making fun of that name.
I forgot that there are actually two Moss Glen Falls in VT. One in Granville and one in Stowe. Here is the one that I've been to. It's not the kind you can swim in but it's fun to hike up the sides of it.
Are you going to UVM in Burlington? Fun Vermont trivia...do you know why the initials for the University of Vermont are UVM?

They're one of our rival high schools in most sports. Oddly enough they have a reputation for not being the sort of people that could be made fun of for going to a school named Vergennes. So you aren't too far from Vergennes? My friends used to love making fun of that name.
Officially I'll be a Saint Michael's student, but I have ties to the engineering program at UVM and will be cross enrolled there for my electrical engineering classes. I've also spent the last 2 years taking Comp. Sci. and Math classes and working as a research assistant at Middlebury College. No idea why UVM is UVM though, we usually just call it groovy uvAre you going to UVM in Burlington? Fun Vermont trivia...do you know why the initials for the University of Vermont are UVM?

*laughs* I never saw this. It's actually "Green Mountain" - viridis montis is singular. Plural would have been viridium montium. But either way, I highly approve of a university with a Latin name.UVM stands for Universitas Viridis Montis which is Latin for University of the Green Mountains. The letters just happen to also match up fairly well with "Vermont".

Excluding The Battle Room forum, I kind of lurk around here, and check this forum too much. Don't intend to, but I believe I've still got some maturity issues to work out before posting in this forum, and that keeps me away from posting where everyone else seems to post - here.

Aw thanks! I have nearly as many social awkwardness/qualms about posting online as I do speaking in person so thanks My posting here seems to be in direct correlation to my romantic ineptitude as well, so I will probably be on an upswing anyways, haha. That's a shame; you seem pretty cool.I intend to respond to more posts but then they get lost in my firefox tabs.
So don't go worrying about me

So maybe I do, but that shouldn't affect
