Where in the World are the PWEBber's?

Postby lyons24000 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 11:22 pm

I remember when I first started posting on PWEB, I thought that the majority of people were from the USA. Then I found out that our absent friend Jotabe was from Spain. Since then, I have realized that there are perhaps more Canadians on PWEB then Americans. I was just wondering what there was more of--Americans or Canadians or others outside either of those countries.

(Even if you are from one country please let us know what country you reside in now)

I miss Jotabe. I also miss the urge to visit Leekspin every three seconds.

I think the Americans still have a solid majority.

I don't know why you included an "other" option. Frankly I have my doubts about putting a "Canada" option as wel. I mean, do we actually care? The poll should really just contain USA, and no other options.

Hey Archivist,

Didn't we once have a map of pwebbers that showed where they were distributed around the world?

That's actually what I thought this thread was going to be. Where did that map get to, anyway?

But do we care about them? Jotabe is a wanna-be Mexican and EL has abandoned North America (though coming from Canada you can't really blame her).

I miss Jotabe.
I e-mailed him; I'd been meaning to for a long time anyway, but that reminded me.

He's been busy with school and he also figures he would have been arguing over the elections if he were here.

I don't think he'd mind me passing this along directly:

"Thanks for reminding me :) it's nice to know that there is people who
remembers me :D

Take care, and see you in the forums :D maybe"

So, fingers crossed and all that. :)

Here you are:

http://www.frappr.com/thephiloticweb

Nevermind:
Yes, we did. (I don't have any screen captures of it but I do have one of the link to it. :P)

Wind_Swept/Fris/Chris started it but either deleted it or my search skills just aren't up to snuff. It was at Frappr, so I encourage more creative/talented searchers to give it a try.

Anyhow, I IMed Chris about it but he's 'away'; if it turns out he deleted it, it'd be easy as pie to start a new one.

I'm Canadian, but that's not where I am right now. Since the question is "where in the world," I answered Other.

Oh noes, it might dip below freezing! Whatever shall we do! One measly centimetre of snow and the whole dang city comes to a halt. It's pathetic and hilarious all at once.

See, here's the thing: it wasn't really funny. Or shocking even.

It was sort of too obvious to be either and no amount of "But I didn't mean that" will convince me otherwise.

Though I imagine people who do find it to be funny are the same people who find it to be informative, because the only way they'll ever see one is when people like Jeebsy post pictures.

Of course I meant that. You'd be dumb to think I didn't mean that. I didn't claim I didn't mean that. I simply meant that I didn't actually expect someone to take it that far, or even outright say what I was implying. What I had planned (RAIN FORREST!) was as far as I had planned to take it.

It WAS funny, however. Why was it funny? Because of how it went down. I didn't expect it, and I didn't expect him to do something like that. Plus the way Jebus did it was also kind of silly. I mean, how often do you see people outright posting pictures like that on a forum like this? But, people tell me I'm not all that funny of a guy and most people don't find things funny that I find funny.

Ah well. Guess I'll go back to looking at pictures of vagina's that I'll never actually see in real life now.

Nope. Not funny.

You know what is funny?

That he posted the link to the picture in the "ctrl + v" thread in the game section. Unexpected and funny.

Hush! It stayed on the ground for a hour whole the other day! It makes me glad I'm living in a small place and can walk everywhere...when I was dependent on trains the frailty of public transport would get getting to me. It can't handle, well, weather really.

Incidental, I just read an anthropologist's book about the English and we are a deeply, deeply screwed up people - I can't possibly imagine how any foreigners can put up with us.
