I got a rug for my room. it's the wrong size, scritchier than I'd like, not as soft as ideal and I paid too much. but after a slight bout with buyer's remorse it is in my room and looks wonderful and it is sooooo incredibly nice to wake up and plop onto a rug rather than the cold hardwood floor. :)

It does have some positives, hand woven, all wool, natural dyes, but for the most part I'm happy to have something that covers the damn floor and looks pretty nice. :)

Looks nice. I'd like to see a close-up on those DVDs though  I love comparing people's collections to my own. I can't walk into a new apartment w/o judging someone based on their movies. LOL

I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours  Of course these are mostly this year's acquisitions, and two of the shelfs are double stacked with another layer of dvds behind them. And there's the three binders with the majority of my collection. I think I'm up to about 350-400 dvds now. :P

Is that all of Star Trek TNG in the silver containers?

I don't think so. TNG is silver, but it's more of a box type thing. And they'd have Star Trek: The Next Generation Season Whatever on the spine.

...or my brother's DVD collection. He has around 600 DVDs if you count by sets, over double that if you count individual discs. And he does have all of ST:TNG and most everything else. If anyone feels like perusing his collection: http://www.invelos.com/DVDCollection.aspx/jlapo

That's about half of them. Unfortunately, it's pretty badly out of focus. I'm just working with an iPhone as a camera, so I don't take pics often.

I feel like I should thank you or something, Adam, for not having a boring guy room. Granted, I can't see the other two walls but from what I can see, it at least looks lived in...which is more than I can say for most of the male rooms I've been in. I can't tell you how sad it makes me to see plain bedrooms.

(And because Pweb seems...horny -and pissy, possibly related- lately, let me just add that while I have been in a fair amount of guy's bedrooms, all but 2 were only friends or relatives.)

Now that's just a tease, how can I judge you back when you're being so modest just showing a glimpse of your collection. ;)

hmm well the wall to the left is blank except for a framed poster of my favorite movie, the wall to the right is also blank, but has my dresser and tv on it. So it is sort of boring. The black duvetyne on the back wall/windows is block out the bright face because it burns us, precious, and we hates it, especially when trying to sleep during the day, bad sun.

If you squint, you can kinda see what they are... LOL
I'll dig up my digital camera later. I'm still not really completely settled here, sadly, and I don't know where it is.

Now for my personal triumph - I finally got a light fixture for my room! No more darkness!

So it is sort of boring.
Well, yes, in a personality contest with my room, your room would handily be defeated. But I didn't mean it wasn't boring in general, just that it wasn't a boring guy room.

The rug is above and beyond what I'd expect to find.

My room is boring, but it's definitely...lived in.
...Which is a nice way of saying messy. And containing WAY more stuff than it needs.

13 drawers of beauty supplies, next to my book shelf. Then a dresser, a way-too-high stack of dvds, and a DVD rack. 2 jewelry dressers, a shoe dresser, and an anime rack. A pile of backpacks, a computer and tv that are unhooked, 2 boxes of dvds, and finally, my bed. Also, on the shoe dresser is a TV, Xbox360, Wii, Playstation 2, and a mini-shelf of Miyazaki films.

Oh, and for decor, it's all LA and entertainment memorabilia. An "actress" license plate, Rodeo drive sign on my closet, a hollywood star w/ my name on it, original beatles posters, movie posters, etc :)

It's a melting pot of stuff.

Okay, I lied...I'm not done derailing, because I'm a house/bedroom voyeur. I had a whole thread for this problem on 2.0 and was shocked silly that people were willing to show&tell instead of telling me I'm a whack job.
13 drawers of beauty supplies... 2 jewelry dressers... a shoe dresser
 : 13 drawers. I don't even know if I'm defining beauty supplies in the same way you are and I have no idea how big your drawers are or aren't, but I doubt I could fill one of my shoeboxes with beauty supplies and I have small shoes.

What's a jewelry dresser? Same thing as a jewelry box? Same question for the shoe dresser. What is it?
Oh, and for decor, it's all LA and entertainment memorabilia. An "actress" license plate, Rodeo drive sign on my closet, a hollywood star w/ my name on it, original beatles posters, movie posters, etc :)

Since you're looking for that camera...I know I am always intrigued by sneak peeks into other people's bedrooms.

As I said, and as my nieces and nephews will attest to, my bedroom is not boring. It is also very lived in (messy). Some would also say it's a bit...much or chaotic.

The first three across the top and the 'T' are from the computer room, that I was allowed to decorate, and the rest are various parts from my room, very much not to scale.

*derail, derail, derail*

The shoe dresser is basically an armoire filled with shoes :-) The jewelry dressers are those little filing cabinet drawers you get at target, though I also keep all my scarves and hats w/ my jewelry - more like accesory dressers.
And beauty supplies is make-up, soaps, lotions, hairbrushes, LUSH things, perfumes, shampoos, blow-drier...anything remotely used for hygiene or personal care. And those are also those drawers you buy at target. But I probably have a lifetime supply of beauty products :)

And thank you, Kimmie. I love practically everything about your bed except for its being yours. :P

(I will say though, you showing me was like giving a fat kid at a diet camp a piece of cake; I certainly don't mind but I also don't think I have a problem to begin with.)

Fred!

Where to start...

I see your door-hole!

And I love your ticket stubs (mine used to be on my door but the ink was fading with them there, so they're now in a photo album).

*steals Scrubs*

Lastly, I've known you for how long now and you're just barely letting me see? Pfft. </3 That there is my broken Twinny heart.

Hehe, I forgot about my door hole! This is the most put together my room has been since april! I use to have a bunch more ticket stubs and random things on my cork board, but in the moves a lot of it has fallen off and I haven't gotten around to pinning them back up. Those probably arn't even a quarter of all the ticket stubs I have.

Everyone else has awesome rooms!

We really should have started another tread for this, lol.

My room is kind of boring... oh! If you click on the pictures I wrote things on them... makes them a little more interesting!

Sorry, no movies to show. I'm not much of a movie-buying buff. Too cheap.

Wil, I thoroughly enjoy the fact that you have a beach/lake sand collection. Seriously cool. And the tags, for some reason, had me chuckling.

Hm. I should do what Wil did about the size issue; I threw 'em all together and small so they wouldn't take up a lot of space. ETA: Or not. I suppose I didn't do that because I'm not sure how.
