So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Fall shows I'll be watching:
Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is back and while I'm still working my way through the first season, I'll be watching Season 2 as soon as I'm caught up.
Same deal with NBC's Chuck.
I used to be a diehard Smallville fan, but I missed the entirety of the seventh season. So, if I can catch up on that, add it to my list.
I'm really looking forward to January, though.
Joss Whedon and Tim Minear have been working on Dollhouse for Fox. Nathan Fillion will be the lead in Castle on ABC. Those two shows alone have me excited for the mid-season run. Unfortunately, given the luck of Joss and Tim, especially on Fox, I can see Dollhouse being cut halfway through.

Nomi, did you see the season premier of T:SCC? If so, maybe you can explain to me what I thought was a really stupid, unbelievable scene.
********SPOILER-y THINGS*************
Thanks to the explosion in the last episode of last season, something gets knocked around in Cameron's wiring, so that she ends up with the Terminate command -which must mean at one point she was ordered to kill him and not built by the good guys, right? Anyway, I don't believe that she just had some change of heart about killing John because she was crushed between two vehicles since she's a cyborg and doesn't have feelings. I don't think she got knocked around enough to undo the previous change in directive. And his using a kleenex to wipe away her chip didn't seem high tech enough to actually reprogram her. So why'd she go from Kill to Protect? Because of a promise? Also kind of lame. Terminators don't strike deals through promises, she would have killed him without hesitation.
Also, is what's her name....the new Terminator, is she a T1000? IF so, I was under the impression that they could only mimic living and/or metallic objects. Not urinals and tile walls.
Hopefully that made sense.
Other than those two things, I enjoyed the premier. And Brian Austin Green is my favorite character so far. He's the most kick-ass, whereas Sarah and John aren't showing me Leader or Strength at all.
Oh, I'm excited for Brothers and Sisters and Big Bang Theory.

It took five posts to get to the Office? I'm disappointed.
I'm looking forward to the Office and Pushing Daisies. The TV can gather the dust for the rest of the week.

Can I take a crack at your T:SCC questions, Alea?
SPOILERS
I think that Cameron was captured and reprogrammed rather than made by the resistance, and thus like every other terminator she had a primary standing order to kill John Connor on sight. As for her turning good again, that didn't make too much sense to me either. I'm sure the whole "I love you!" thing was an act (because I'm through with this show if terminators can fall in love). I just assumed that John did something to the chip off-screen, even though it seems unlikely that he could have reprogrammed it so quickly and easily, and with no one noticing.
The corporate lady does appear to be a T-1000. Remember the T-1000 in T2 did disguise himself as a floor in the mental hospital, right before he came up behind the security guard and ended his "lucky night" by morphing into him and impaling him through the eye. I guess maybe solid smooth surfaces like that are close enough to metallic to imitate, but maybe it would feel different if you actually touched it. Did she have to be a urinal though? That's just gross, and now I can't relieve myself in a public washroom without worrying that I'm peeing on a cyborg assassin from the future. As if there wasn't enough to fear in the men's room

Okay. I can be okay with the urinal now.
And you're the second person to suggest an off-screen tampering, so I may learn to accept that.
I still don't understand the override when he's about to burn her and instead has her promise not to kill him. Because even if he did manage to mess with the chip off-screen, it should have registered right away, not flash from Terminate to Override. At least, that's my opinion.

Poor Toby...
And Hooray for more convoluted secrets in Pushing Daisies.
