If XKCD is QC, and QC is DC, and DC is XKCD...
Is there some inherent joke I'm missing here, or did these three just collectively decide to pull off one of the most bewildering April Fool's jokes ever?

Er, I'm sorry, but I didn't really think it was that clever... unless you guys are messing with my head, now! Oh, you're smart. Too smart.
Of course, the fact that Janus pointed it out before I discovered it on my own might have blunted the attack for me.

No hidden joke that I'm aware of; they just all know each other, I thought. And I'm with Mich... while it's certainly not bad, it's not all that amazing. Is there some inherent joke I'm missing here, or did these three just collectively decide to pull off one of the most bewildering April Fool's jokes ever?
This, on the other hand, is quite possibly awesome beyond words. My hat is off to them.

Wow, Google (and YouTube within her) can create some really good April Fool's pranks! The YouTube one actually made me laugh so much, I really rolled on the floor while the song played.
Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!

Zelda Movie
I would TOTALLY watch this. I mean, damn.
My only rules would be that
1) Link could NOT talk. At all. No dialog. Just facial expressions.
2) A girlier Link. That one is too manly and looks too damn silly in a green tunic. Lets just use one of these girls as Link and the other as Zelda.
So long as there are no water temples in the movie they should be able to finish the movie without having to check GameFAQS.
Also: I saw the YouTube rickroll thing when it was only at uk.youtube.com... I laughed pretty hard. If anyone reads (the exceptionally prickish) CAD and VGCats webcomics, VGCats takes a punch at CAD which was lulzy.

Why is this just an april fool's, and not a real product? They already make caffeinated soap (really! I've used it)... cereal seems much more reasonable than that.I would kill for some Spazztroids.
It's basically the LOTR movies with a Zelda-like storyline. I don't see how it's possible to not make that at least interesting, if not awesome.˙ǝɯ ʞsɐ noʎ ɟı ƃuıʇsǝɹǝʇuı ʇɐɥʇ llɐ ʇou ˙˙˙ǝıʌoɯ ɐplǝz ˙ɥǝ

I thought the trailer was pretty well done, for an April Fool's joke. I mean, pretty clichéd, as far as trailers go (the text changing from Hylian to English especially), and Ganondorf's makeup was just too much, but pretty well done.

I do wish that Google would actually implement a version of Custom Time that'd let you send an e-mail at some time in the future. There are a number of other services that let you do similar things, but I'd like to, for example set an email to go off in time to get a paper in to my Professors within a specific time frame so that it's off my mind that much earlier.
Anyone else see anything yesterday that made them say, "If only..."?

That would be pretty handy for birthdays and holidays, too! I'm always thinking.. "it's a little too early to send that still" but then suddenly forget until it's basically late!that'd let you send an e-mail at some time in the future.
