They're tied to where I was living at the time, zero. When I was living where is a helpful guide to keeping track of time for me.

I keep waiting for some obscure reference like "The Noodle Incident" or "The Great Bathroom Debate Of '93" to come up. For a place that has no official history or minute-keeper, I really gotta say you remember things well!
Or... wait... um... I still get to have a life, right?

You assume that the rest of us have lives...
I'm not sure if we have a "Noodle Incident" but there was something about Noodle and pencils. I guess you could call it an incident... I'll let one of the others field that one.

Ooooooooook turns out you shouldn't neglect a thread only because the title doesn't seem... enticing
In any case, i just wanted to clear up something:
Rule 49 of teh Internets is:
"You can't ban Jeebus."
Anyway, since my staying in pweb seems like a blinking light, i don't remember actually any banning taking effect. When did i join the first time... lesse... i know i read EG in the 2nd year of college, more between the 2nd and the 3rd... so i probably joined pweb in my 3rd year... so... that's like 1999?
Whoa, has pweb even been that long on? O_o
Humm... so maybe i did join later than that... Not sure. I "think" i joined in the first pweb, but can't be sure. I know people were still talking about Otaku's bammination, so i couldn't join much later than that. When was that?

Ok, i remember that during first half of 2001 i was heavily in a spanish politics forum (that's what i would do while bored while doing a Erasmus exchange in England). I know it collapsed little after i got back to Spain, so... maybe i joined in 2002. I think that EL was already here when i joined.
Then again my memory sucks
Jota in his quest for the memory!
Also in Sheffield i remember i bouth "Ender's Shadow", what made me go back to the internet and look for info in the enderverse.
Then again, i distinctively remember first signing up in the pweb from the computer lab in the physics building in my univ., what, for reasons i won't say assures that that first signing up happened earlier than october 2000.
Final bit is that my transition from the Enderverse and Science forum to Milagre was probably the longest in the history of pweb It took me years, honestly. I used to think by then that the only cool discussions happened in the Enderverse and Science forum. lol

On a somewhat related note, I think I was around for about 3 years before anyone explained to me what the occasional cries of "ZOO SEX" were referring to. In fact, I still think I'm missing something because I don't get why it's funny. I guess you had to be there...

Anyone remember how I had a thread dedicated to me, with my name on it and everything, something like the first week I was a member?
It was full of Derwyddon complaining about me, but that's incredibly beside the point.
Good times.

I fondly remember my thread about me. *waves*
So many memories.
and, here we go, the answers to my olbie questions are as follows:
1. Who is Otaku and what did he do?
I think this has mostly been explained above, but he was pweb's most notorius banning
2. When were the first and second crashes of pweb? Yeah.. I don't know the exact dates. One was in 2001, the other in 2006.
3. Are we better then Hatrack? Of course we are.
4. Who once had an avatar that said "Best Avatar Ever" and won best avatar for it? That would be a fellow named Great Saiyman (spelling?), now known as Eddie Pinz.
5. Who was LetoII and why shouldn't you debate with him? He was mainly a Hatracker who would grind every arguement into the ground and you along with it.
6. What came first: Papa Moose the character, or Papa Moose the poster? Papa Moose the character (in Alvin Maker series) was named after Papa Moose the person/ poster (more on Hatrack then here)
7. Name at least two "Philly Boys". strokeman, big beans, Eddie Pinz, Morningstar... there may have been a few more.
8. What nickname did Jayelle give Dr. Mobius? Chico.
9. What are the names of Steph's two children? Tyler and Braydon
10. Can Ollie fit in Nomi's trunk? Yes. She made him do it at EnderCon.
So many memories.

I think it's funny how legends like this grow over time. There was never a video or footage of this incident. There wasn't even a picture. And I didn't MAKE him do it. It was more like a dare. I think.I seem to recall seeing footage of that last one. That or I saw the link posted and didn't get around to watching it. In either case, I wish I knew where to find it, now...
I do however have a picture of me holding Ollie in the air at Endercon and also one of him sporting Madonna-like pointy boobs fashioned out of disposable cups. For blackmailing purposes of course...

I thought it was part of the EnderCon videos that Dave and Ollie put up. Oh well, faulty memory, lots of wacky stuff happened.

I met Leto at Endercon. He wore sunglasses all the time, even inside, and wore shirts everyday that looked somewhat like this.
And Papa Moose got his name in one of OSC's books by winning the trivia contest there. My little brother participated and did fairly well but was definitely outranked.

I remember I caught him off guard once with some wit about asses. Something along the lines of "I prefer my prefix over your suffix."That's funny, I think my answer would've involved "because he's an ass".5. Who was LetoII and why shouldn't you debate with him? He was mainly a Hatracker who would grind every arguement into the ground and you along with it.
The prefix and suffix being dumb and hole if you can't figure it out.
ETA: I remember better now. It was more like "Smart or dumb, I'll take my prefix over your suffix any day."

Heh, what a bunch of kids we were. That stuff was like five or six years ago.Wow I only remember three clearly.Name three alliances (Bonus points for naming members of the alliances)
I'm not sure I could do that one...
Canadian Alliance:
Noodle
sandwich boy
Shatner
Red Fox Alliance:
Jebus
fallenangel
citie_pixie
Cullinary Alliance:
Little Blue Triangle
Ng
GS
I remember there were so many, but I can't remember their names. I remember something about hobos and goats. I also their being an evil alliance led by Satya of course. I also think I was a member of said alliance.

And I got to meet all you great (and underage at the time!) mods for the first time at the Walmart Tire & Lube waiting room...such a classy place. I think it was Ollie who was getting his oil changed there after the long drive.

it was my car getting the oil change. heh my sister just sold that car last year for little of nothing. Though Ollie might have had his car get one as well. I am certainly of age now. no longer a little 18 yo punk. :p and I remember leto's sunglasses and shirts, all his shirts looked exactly like that link you provided. there would have been pictures but cell phones didn't have cameras back then. and yeah it was a dare of sorts. more or less you can lay down on top of three or four boys (crammed into your back seat) while we drive around the parking lot looking for dave's car) or you can ride in the trunk, and we all immediately jumped upon the idea of ollie in a trunk with great glee. course I could be misremembering as well.
Yes. This move, patented by the group I hung around with while dating R, is called "The Torpedo."...more or less you can lay down on top of three or four boys (crammed into your back seat) while we drive around the parking lot looking for dave's car)...
