I love incidental music. I happily buy soundtracks to tv shows and movies where the only music is non-vocal. I'll sit there and happily listen to a random playlist of Due South, Firefly, Doctor Who, Dragonheart, etc. It's just so lovely.

Hey, don't feel bad: I collect video game soundtracks, which is a problem for my hard-drive space, but I can't bear to "narrow down" the complete Final Fantasy VII soundtrack (four discs), or decide between the "real" Majora's Mask soundtrack and the orchestrated version.

Chrono Trigger's soundtrack (three discs) is also great. I listen to it in my car to/from work almost every day while I'm sitting in traffic.

The bigger problem is when you start listening to videogame music remixes. There are quite a few of them, to say the least, and some are actually worth listening to.

I use OCRemix most of the time for those, but a lot of times you can find good ones by just typing in "[various game] remix" into Google.

And I never said that I regularly listen to FFVII's soundtrack. Those MIDIs seem to grind my ears. FFVIII makes much easier listening, but again, they are collections.

Edit: This kinda reads like a Bob post, looking back, as it's rather long. But I still maintain it is a confession, even if most won't really understand it.

When I caught wind of the raid on ICHC tonight, I very nearly participated. When I first heard of it, it sounded like a really good idea at first. It's a good thing these things are given specific times, because in the hours that followed, I talked myself out of it, realizing how pointless, and, well, not-me that is. (I'm not talking about how effective it would be; just the idea of doing it at all.)

And actually, I'm still not entirely convinced I went the right way, which is strange. I don't think I would ever do something like this for some other reason (well, maybe spam sources, but that's a bit of a different attack vector). Like, I wouldn't attempt to be a detriment to some kind of political site. Or go against warez, cracking sites, or not even child pornography. But a site that (insults/bastardizes/however you want to look at it) my sense of humour? All of a sudden I'm questioning my morals and wonder if my pacifism-with-respect-to-technology is how I want to go.

No wonder I don't tend to get all involved in these arguments I see about politics and religion and so forth. Apparently humour is a higher priority for me than all that other stuff that people usually fight about. "For the lulz" indeed.

Sometimes I feel like a junkie. Except instead of being hooked on a drug I'm hooked on sexual pleasure. And it feels like I can't stop myself no matter how hard I try. No matter how often I hurt myself or others.

Sometimes, things just make me mad. It's hard to tell whether real Steph would be mad about some of these things, or if it's just pregnant Steph.

It's seriously been the hardest decision of my life. And I still don't know what to do. It's all back to that "Real Steph" vs. "Pregnant Steph" stuff I was talking about earlier. I hate having emotional attachments to things that are not logical. Grrrrr!

Confession: sometimes I wonder if my brother's decision to disown our sister wasn't the wrong one.

Confession: even I can get tired of endless cycles of hope, then loss, then regret (repeat).

Confession: I just half-quoted lyrics of a fairly obscure band in a fairly serious confession. I might have some sort of problem.

Last confession: I think transferring colleges was in fact my way of still saying "location is my problem" even though I transfered in an effort to say that I was wrong when I first said that.

Does that make sense?

Confession: Tonight I was so pissed off to find the shower drain clogged AGAIN that I took a bar of soap and rubbed it all over the tub. I'm sick of being the only one who cleans out the hair-catcher and I'm sick of slipping around because other people's soap-scum doesn't drain. So I actually hope someone slips tomorrow and injures themself. Like I did.

Unless it's my grandma, who's innocent of all this. But I doubt it would be, because she needs assistance anyway.

I happened to be walking to the same area as a coworker, and with everything he said I wanted to respond with "wow, how are you such a massive tool".

But I didn't, so I guess that's an achievement.

Avoiding double-post by editing:

I'm noticing that I've done more than a few things on people's "most efficient way to annoy a _____" lists, and will continue to do them. And I don't really seem to mind that they really annoy people.

And I hope they realize that some of the mentioned things are done because the annoy the person in question.

Confession: I really love reading the old Religion & Moral Philosophy threads. Reading those threads are usually the only time I think about religion and/or religious beliefs. Thanks go to all those who care enough to spend so much time thinking about and discussing their personal beliefs.

Confession: Sometimes the only thing keeping me from killing myself is knowing how upset the people that love me would be. What if, upon my death, they no longer exist anyway? I'll have held onto a life I didn't want... all for nothing? I'd be dead at that point though, so it wouldn't really matter. Nonetheless, I hate to think it's not worth it.

Scholastic's security is tighter than i could even have imagined. they keep the only single MS in the country locked in a vault that ONLY one person knows the combination to.

it's a fire-worthy offense at Scholastic to break HP security. and if i knew someone there well enough to get them to risk their job to get me a copy, i'd be reading it right now.
