For all the pwebber librarians/bibliophiles

If memory serves me correctly, we have at least one board member who is a librarian or works in a library in some capacity. At the very least, we have numerous members who work with books or otherwise really like them.

So, I thought I'd just share today's xkcd with you all, if you haven't already seen it.

Haha... twitch indeed. And late fees?! You'd better pay replacement fees for that mother!

Am I the only lit freak who doesn't mind things like spine breaking and dogearing?

I don't consider myself a lit freak, and even I am kinda bothered by them. I dogear myself sometimes, too, and it really annoys me later that I can't get the page to go back to the way it was (when I no longer need that page marked). I mean, I can get close, but there's always that little bend that you know a crease was there before. Grrr

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Once upon a time, I used to get an icky feeling whenever I bent a book wrong - creasing in the spine of the book irked me beyond belief.
Now...well, if you take one look at my room, you'll understand. I give up. LOL

I just spent a few hours going through all the comics on that site. (Took a while because I couldn't see all the mouseovers without going into Properties...)

Curse you, zero.
