We're going to buy some skype-in and skype-out credits, and I just wondered if anybody else here uses skype at all.

I created a Skype account, but I haven't really used it much.

skype is for talking on the phone over your computer and video conferencing. i have it but don't currently use it much.

I used to use Skype. Then I got free, unlimited, anytime long distance in the US and Canada calling on my phone, and now I no longer need it.

I used it when I could get free calling from anywhere to BC or Israel, but I haven't used it since it required credits. I may yet, because they aren't that expensive.

I went ahead and got the Skype out thing. So, yeah. Now I can call anybody in US & Canada free for a year. Heh. I've tried my parents' twice, and they haven't been home.

I don't really see the need. I already have a landline (that I never use anymore) and a cell, why would I want/need an internet phone?

That's just it. I don't have a landline. I refuse to deal with the company here. And it's podunk enough that there's only one.

I've only got a cell phone and I use a phone card for it, so phoning local is expensive, let alone calling long-distance. However, I don't use it enough locally to make it worth buying a plan which includes a decent long-distance package.

I only use it for computer to computer calls, and not that much.
