What the f*** did Daniel Radcliffe do to his hair? I mean, that's a terrible haircut!

Otherwise--I wish that Umbridge looked more toady. I had a teacher once who really looked like a frog. He had watery eyes and his face was just... shaped that way, you know? So I want her to look like a human frog, too.

I also find it funny that Fred, George, and Dean are standing head and shoulders above everyone else--and I'm a little peeved that they left out a few people.

That said, I can't wait for the movie. OotP was one of my favorites of the series.

this was my favorite book of the series so I'm a bit nervous for the result.
it could be fabulous but it could also be a disaster.

Don't get your hopes up.

They're running out of haircuts for Harry.

i gotta disagree, Elena. i like the short hair; his hair in the last movie was just all shaggy and terrible.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I don't like his hair either, but i didn't like much it in the fourth movie either. It was okay in the third movie. Shouldn't Umbridge be shorter, or am I forgetting?

I am in the anti-Harry's-hair camp. I liked it long. Same with the twins! (Although theirs isn't as bad -- I just really liked it in the 4th.) I also expected a more 'toady' -- which I interpret as pudgy -- Umbridge. She's too thin. But she does look evil enough.

I am really nervous about the movie. They had better put in the twins' leaving scene somehow, or else I'll be very angry. They've already cut out Quidditch (no 'Weasley Is Our King'), and that's not a good sign. :(

I'm looking forward to the movie because it's bound to be better than the book. They can cut out at least 90% of Harry's "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! *angst angst angst*" and still leave enough in to get the point that he's a whiny, angsty teenager across. Then it will be a much better story.

I didn't like OoP as much as I liked some of the others, but I am intrigued to see how they'll fit such a huge book into a movie. So much happens in it.

OotP is most definitely my favorite book in the series, so far, which means I'll probably find a whole lot wrong with the movie no matter what they do...

I have to agree that Harry's hair is far to short and Umbridge doesn't look enough like a toad.

It's funny... OotP was possibly my least favorite of all of the books so far. I just chouldn't handle his angst. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it. I just hope they give the other characters and plot threads at least some face time and don't spend the whole time showing how whiny he is. I actually kind of like the new hair, but I'll admit I did a double take. Above all, please let them give Ginny some more screen time than they did in the last one.

The first time I read the book, the angst drove me batty. I really wanted to just punch Harry in the face, and continue the rest of the book with him passed out on the floor. The second time through, it got moved to the top of the list. So... If you hate it, but you've only read it once, your opinion doesn't count. :stoned:

Once you get over the fact that Harry's a prat, they're quite good books.

I'm really excited to see what they do with it too. One thing is the normal screen writer (Kloves) didn't write the screenplay to this; he's working on THe Half Blood Prince. Instead, they brought in the screenwriter to the most recent live action Peter Pan movie, which was absolutely fantastic. I have REALLY high hopes for this one. I think it has the potential to be the best out of the series.

I don't expect a lot of screentime for Ginny, after all, Cho is the main love interest. What I'm worried about is how much the twins will be in it, after all, they were one of the best things about the book. And if they don't have much to do with the book they won't have a joke shop... :( And actually, I don't remember in Goblet of Fire if they even made a mention of the money, let alone showed Harry give it to them. Wow, they BETTER fit that in.

No, they didn't do anything about the money or the jokeshop in the GoF movie. They didn't even mention that there was a cash prize for the winner. I'm definitely worried. :(

At least Ron's hair looks way better then it did in the last film.

10 second clip of the teaser trailer!

The full one's due online on Monday. As I haven't got a chance to see Happy Feet yet, I'm awaiting it with enormous buckets of excitement.

I ran from the bus today to get to the computer so I could watch it. Of course, it had to take forever to turn on, and Mozilla had to crash twice...

Putting aside my giddy fangirl point of view, I think it looks interesting. It will certainly be entertaining, but I don't know how much story they will get in. It was quite long, and I foresee much anger regarding the cuts. Of course, one scene of angst would probably be plenty--so they would loose a third of the book just by cutting out the rest of it. :stoned:

Does it bug anyone else that they changed the Death Eater's masks?

Firefox closed on me, too... eh. That is weird, about the DE masks... although now they don't look so KKKish (which isn't entirely inappropriate)... but I guess it doesn't bother me that much.

I'm excited about the part where the declarations are exploding -- I'm hoping hoping hoping that's part of the twins' leaving scene. I'd be elated if they put in Peeves' salute (probably my favorite lines in the whole book), but that's unlikely... *sigh*... I think as long as that's in there, I'll be satisfied. :)

Ive only read the first two books so far, actually read them both this week. I have to say I am slowly becoming a fan and will probably have the whole series read within another 2 weeks (a small book store is down the street from my house and they let me go in there and buy books and sit in bean bags and read them.) I need to go buy prisoner of azkaban next.

Thats actually really not that much of a plot deviation, because at the beginning Harry and Luna both can see the thestrals. I'm more pissed off about there being no house-elves, and stuff like that.
