Think Positive: What we love about the new place

Talk about anything under the sun or stars - but keep it civil. This is where we really get to know each other. Everyone is welcome, and invited!

Think Positive: What we love about the new place

Postby Jayelle » Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:50 pm

Okay, so, there are some things that aren't around anymore (like Stoned Kermit) and somethings are a bit off (I meant to hit "Submit" not "Preview"!), but there are some better things, and I think we should think positive!

I'm loving:
-the polls (oooh, pretty)
-the "go to your post OR go to the menu" option,
-this smilie --> :shock:
-the "new posts" actually works
-PMs are glitchless
-a chance to start fresh (new memberlist!)
One Duck to rule them all.
--------------------------------
It needs to be about 20% cooler.

i love all of the above as well as:

-the ability to look at all posts by a member will make searching for specific posts that i have made (something i do frequently) a LOT easier, if still time-consuming.

so i lied. it TOTALLY says when you edit a post.

Hmm. I also like the blank memberlist. It feels so clean.

I also like the fact that the URL has changed, so the really stupid people nobody likes might not find their way back here.

While the glitchless PM system isn't applicable to me NOW, I am going to be so grateful when I need to PM two people in the space of 24 hours.

I really, really love the fact that we can see new posts... Really love it... That actually bugged me most in Ye Olde.

Nice to have the PM system working once more.

The banner doesn't have the little new post icon in it. This makes me quite happy.

Random: The title of this thread reminds me of one of my favourite webcomics, Something Positive.

Seriously faster! I'm trying to finish reading so I can go to bed, but you people keep posting, therefore keeping me from my soft pillow and my husband cuddling! Darn you pwebbers!! I'm going to bed!

I love that when I registered, the password I submitted was the password I got. That always annoyed me, before.

I'm kind of glad that all of my first Bob posts are gone. It's a good kind of clean slate feeling.

That doesn't quite describe it. It's like moving into a new house and watching as more and more of your old furniture is added.

I rarely encountered a problem with the flood limit, but I suspect it was quite useful if there are people who did have a problem with it.

Oh! I've discovered more stuff I love.

- you can just highlight the stuff you want to italicize or bold and click the button and it puts the code around it. Niiiice.

- you can sort the memberlist by "top ten posters" and it's way easier to sort.

It weirds me out a little because this is the exact same format (though different color scheme) as my MOB message board.

I miss kermit.

Yes, not positive. But that's ok.

I like that my old posts as a younger lad are no longer here. (Now it's only slightly harder for people to find them.)

I also like how it's mostly the same, really. Well, the forum, that is. The feel is pretty similar, with that little touch of new board smell.
