So fanfic like this never gets published again.

...but, but... how would you tell Professor X and Captain Picard apart?

OBVIOUSLY
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

LOL. Did you just find out about that? There's another Trek/X-men cross over novel that has been something of a running joke between my brother and I for years. I keep saying I'm going to read it one day, but he doesn't believe me. I skimmed a part in the book store once. Riker was comparing Data's abilities to mutant powers... I think that there's also something about Picard and Storm being romantically involved. :?

Actually, I recall a thread on another forum about truly idiotic cross-overs, and Trek/X-men wasn't the worst! I wish I could remember the others.

OBVIOUSLY
Nope, they're actually the same person. X-Men is an elaborate holodeck fantasy that Captain Picard enjoys.

I should also mention that alot of the characters were based on his crew.

Troi - Jean Grey
Worf - Wolverine
Data - Beast
Geordi - Cyclops

Actually, a few yrs back Marvel did a Star Trek crossover with the X-Men. I cannot recall the story, but it involved the X-Men ending up in an alternate future I think. I am not sure if it involved the TNG crew or the TOS crew.

Isn't there any kind of law against this?
You know, they should be put in jail.

Not the authors, mind me, but the ones who actually authorized the publication.

It's a deleted scene from the dvd set of the Family Guy. Also, Patrick Stewart and Marina Sirtis did the actual voices of Picard and Troi, so I don't know who you think should be in trouble for it.

No, it's worse. I own this. Or rather my mum does. It's in the bookcase.

Huh.

I thought jota was referring to the book itself.

I actually might be wrong about that. I have become more doubtful on the matter since rereading his post and what you said.

I think the main reason why I think he is referring to the book is because of the use of the word "publication", which I don't imagine would be used in the context of a television show.

On a side note, I love the time they showed it on Family Guy *or was it actually American Dad* and Worf said, "Kiss my ridges"

Not a trekkie, for some reason the bald guy always scared me, must be why I only sat through half of x-men as well.

He's such a good actor, though. I don't let Tom Cruise's Scientology scare me away from Mission Impossible III© (Out on DVD now! ) or Ben Affleck's choice in JLO as his bride. That doesn't make an actor. Acting makes an actor.

I told you all there were stupider cross-overs...

Image

You know it was a different time when people could even joke about a man with a gun in a high school.

Image

"Only YellowJacket and the Wasp can stop Godzilla!" Err.. good to know. I bet he never thought he'd have to say that.

Image

Superman may be faster than a speeding bullet, but I doubt he's so fast that he can turn off the lights in his room and be in bed before it's dark! Ali's got this fight in the bag! Hey, what's Batman doing in the front row? Is he taking on the winner?
