Your Political Leanings
So, why are you the political party you are, or if you're not, why are you independent?

The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

My leanings, most of you know it. So it would be better that you applied me the "sticker", instead of myself, lol.
My political leanings also have made me "excluded" by the Church. The Spanish church has said that the unity of Spain is a moral good. Since i am Galician nationalist (many would call me separatist, though i truly am not), i am morally evil.

Wow. I can't believe no United States-ian has actually taken a stand yet!
I'm a Democrat. I lean left.
*checks the sky*
Nope, I haven't been zapped by lightning for not having disclaimed myself.
*Tries to resist*
*tries hard*
*can't*
Obviously, there are individual democrats who I disagree with. And I don't absolutley love every thing ever done by the politicians in my party. However, overall, I'm pretty committed, because it is the party that best represents my views.
I get annoyed with the whole, "I vote for the person, not the party." standard disclaimer.
So, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I tend to vote for the party, not the person. The only time that changes is if I'm voting against a person. Like a few times in local elections when the person does not really represent either the Democrat or my personal views (which, granted, generally align) on anything, and is really stupid/corrupt to boot. But Democrats generally really have to work to lose my vote.

Living in the lower-mainland of BC, I tend to vote for the Tories, because typically we've had good Tory MPs who actually care about our area. The furthest left I could swing would be Grits, but I presently don't see any need for that.

sorry, i tend to feel that the country would consume itself like so much tinder on a fire if it were 100% democratic, or 100% republican. I do tend to like democrats more but even that party isn't good all the time. so excuse me if i make my decisions based on what a person has done/will do more than their affiliation.

Hooray for being in the conservative minority! But I'm really only conservative about guns and money. The rest is your life, and who am I to control it?

I appreciate that you have that view. Too many people today are about restricting other people according to your own beliefs, and I'm glad that you recognize that.Hooray for being in the conservative minority! However, both guns and money could fall under the "your life" catagory, depending on your views.
*edit* that last paragraph (the red one) shouldn't be here, but i feel that it says something about MY beliefs if I say it. I'll delete it if you want, but I'd like to leave it in.

It's not rebelling, necissarily, I just believe that people should be allowed to choose whether or not they want to marry or that they're not ready to have a child, stuff like that. Since I had a lot of gay friends and want them to be happy, and happen to enjoy my right to choose what I want when it comes to my body, I'm considered liberal.

Of course! I'm conservative about guns and money in that I don't like to share them. I feel as though my guns and my money are my business, and so long as I'm not using them to hurt anyone I should be allowed to keep them.

It depends on who my MP or MPP is. I usually vote on a local level. Seems to be Tory recently.

I'm stuck in the middle, but lean a bit mroe towards the right I spose.
For example, I say let the gays marry, but I don't approve of abortion. I know alot of people have different opinions, I don't wanna really argue any of this here, but that was just an example of my views.
Most people say I fall somewhere in the middle normally though.

Hahahahaha, I dunno, I steal a little from both sides and like to make my own conclusions.
One thing I do though, I like to vote in preliminaries, so I see who I'd prefer in office, this time its Ruddy Guliani (sp?), so thats what I sign up as and then I can vote in the preliminaries and what not, I do change my affiliation depending on who I think would make a good president.
I dunno if that makes me a worse citizen, or a better one.

*smiles* so curious, but who is everyone thinking of voting for? Right now I am all for guliani, but that can change, if the repubs or dems offer someone better, my vote may change, but guliani has shown competence and I think hed make an excellent president.

Ehh I retract that, not excellent, but I think hed show the same ammount of competence he showed when he was a governor. Which in my oppinion wasn't bad, he united his new york when there was a problem. I think he might do good.
